I went to Cash America Pawn in Saraland to purchase a firearm. Iâve never owned one, but felt like I needed one due to a DV situation. When the time came that I needed to use it, it jammed. If someone else wouldnât have been here with me, that wouldâve been my life. I spoke to Clay personally about this situation when I bought the gun and told him thatâs why I was buying it. Now, I understand guns jam and that isnât their fault, however, I then had an experienced gun owner take the gun apart, clean and oil it and it still jammed. The gun WILL NOT SHOOT. I called Clay to tell him this and all he could say was âno returns on firearmsâ. While I understand this is part of the policy, I sold him a pair of $200+ Costas and $70 for a gun that didnât work when I needed it and still doesnât to even practice with or use for self defense in the future. I just feel like that made me lose a little bit more of my faith in humanity that Clay was more worried about the sale than selling something that actually works. How was I supposed to test a firearm before leaving the store, especially when the store didnât even have bullets in stock for the gun? Just disappointedâŚ
Edited to add: Clay DID try to get me to buy a more expensive and âreliableâ handgun, however, I just couldnât afford it. But I did NOT know that I was getting a gun...
Read moreI ADVISE,if you honestly want to get SUPER undercut when selling anything to these people don't go here. As well DO not leave the store when buying anything, UNTIL you have them check the item a few times to make sure it works. Due to I personally bought a car jump box from them. Specifically asked if it worked, the employee said it did and had been checked out. It even had yellow stickers on it saying it was checked out 100%. That evening I had to use the jump box to start my car thus finding out It DID NOT WORK! Brought it back to VERY NEXT DAY, to the same employee who sold it to me. Who then told me they wouldn't take it back.As well offered me less than 1/2 the price I had bought it for...

She doesn't have knowledge of the customer or there history. She's the type that takes a 'title' too serious. I remember she would always address herself as the manager at the 5 points location when she was the assistant, meaning she would hender escalation to the real manager. I recommend not doing business at that location until...
