Was impressed by the talent of the artists for sure. But to call it a festival was a lie. There were no food trucks or anything like that. Maybe call it an "art walk" and I say that because there was some other media mixed in there too, not just chalk. They make it seem like this big thing and people come from far away and it's expensive to get in for this underwhelming experience. They also don't say online that they don't take card pay at the entrance. So you have to stand to the side and buy your tickets online. Felt unorganized when it came to parking and other things too. Read moreMy friends came from Georgia to see the chalk festival in Darasota. What a huge disappointment!! There were no signs telling anyone where to go and people were walking all over trying to find it!! It wasn’t where it was supposed to be! I was so embarrassed that I had told them how great it would be. There was supposed to be music, pumpkin carving & vendors & there was none of that either. Don’t waste...

It was a shame that a lot of good art on the sidewalks were just being walked on. We thought the addition of flower art was very impressive and would like to see it permanent. Truly enjoy going annually to the Chaulk Festival. Glad to...
