The location of the hotel is great but beware if you are setting up an event in that place . After dealing with a manager for few month setting up a welcome party on their roof top for 220 people and having to go through the agreement with them the manager was changed one day prior to our event . Needless to say when you are overwhelmed with signing on agreement and securing hotel rooms to your guest you might not pay attention to small details but just fyi you will be charged on using roof top separately but also you will be charged service charge and gratuity on the usage of that roof top and that by itself is a hefty charge . Now we booked our night and we had a warning of 30% chance of light rain and we still proceeded with that event when we spent over 12 k in extra decorations to make the place more attractive . After an hour from starting the event rain happened and we had to move the event to the lobby of the hotel . That was not something that the hotel staff could prevent but for their staff to runaway and leave the guests on the roof top without assistance or without covering the food and moving it inside was on them . Needless to say this was not done and when we asked for help it took almost an hour to set the staff down in lobby to finish the welcome party . The manager that was no where to be found when decided to surface informed me that they will serve what they have food which was a pasta bowl and some donuts after we paid for stations of Mexican food pasta food and waffle station . None of that was made available for my guest and u can imagine that for those stations the charges are substantial but were not provided because they didn’t have what it takes in that place to do that . To top it off my credit card on file was charged the same night the balance of the agreement plus almost another thousand $ that I can’t till this day get an answer about the reason for that extra charge . I am sure the management will try to contradict my review but I can tell you that an establishment of that caliber should not allow the manager that was on that night to reach out to the customer and to try to figure out if they are satisfied or not . He covered up his short fall and will will go on covering it . To wrap up my disappointment with this establishment has only one goal and that is for someone else not to get treated that poorly after spending a large sum of money to have a great experience for a wedding . The less caring attitude or the got you attitude is not what I expected from a company that respect their reputation . I would never recommend that hotel for any events of that nature or make sure you review alll your stipulations in your contract clearly and...

Entering Art Ovation you are welcomed with a beautiful entrance and by people that seem very happy and joyful. Seriously before I talk about anything else every single worker here is unique and was beyond nice with such good customer service. I have never stayed somewhere that has as good bright workers and good customer service as Art Ovation. The front entrance is really big which is good for late night events. A welcome spiked punch is given and it was delicious. Check in was simple and exciting hearing about all the amenities etc. The rooms are probably the most basic part of the stay. Rooms are smaller but efficient. Nothing really stands out but nothing negative as well. The only thing I’d say is the bathroom is awesome. Particularly the shower as it’s huge, dark, and has such amazing water pressure and gets really hot. Everything else is just aesthetic. Room service and housekeeping are both on top of things and efficient. You will not wait excessively for requests or food orders. To the rooftop, this is where the hotel shines. Pool is glistening and gorgeous. Pool chairs are wider than normal and really comfy and clean. Workers walk around making sure any of your requests are filled and take any drink or food orders. You really feel like you are on vacation. The bar area is solid as well. The workout room is big but had sort of a musty smell. Some equipment was under construction but they have a wide variety of machines. Dinner Thursday night was the solidified 5 star moment. On the rooftop you can practically sit anywhere and order. I assume all the food is made at the Greek affiliated restaurant Tzeva, but I’ll write their review here too. We ordered hummus and pita, fresh fruit, burger, and the steak. Every item was fantastic and filling. I loved the French fries and the burger. The steak was melt in ur mouth and flavorful. House mashed/scalloped potatoes were insane. Everything was insane other than dessert. Baklava was hard and tasted old, though the ice cream with is complemented greatly. To put it frank, I loved my 4 day stay here! I didn’t love how loud noises travelled within the walls and hallways into the rooms but no one that’s staying here is gonna be loud unless they are truly disorderly. The hotel location is smack near everything the city of Sarasota offers. It is a little farther than siesta key but I didn’t want that mainstream feel during spring break. I could write about so many more positives here at the Art Ovation but these were the main stand outs. Will most...
Read moreFirstly, the hotel is conveniently located to all things in the downtown area of Sarasota. The hotel is a lovely space filled with art work. However, unfortunately we had 4 nights of very disturbed sleep. We could hear the television in the room beside us - I am assuming their television is mounted on the wall that our bed was against. We were awakened by loud snoring from the same room on 2 different nights - different guests. The very loud group on Saturday and Sunday evening was a wedding party. We called the front desk twice that night. I may be a light sleeper but my husband is not and he was awoken by the snoring and partying. The hotel manager (Egemen) was empathetic and we did receive a credit for 1 night but the hotel was full and there was no where to move us - which would not necessarily have solved anything. We did appreciate his sincere apologies and desire to make things better. This is a structural problem. The walls are too thin or not properly insulated. You cannot force another guest from their room for loud snoring so calling the front desk would not have served any purpose. So in the end we were disappointed. We did have 3 nights without all those disturbances but half our stay did not include a good night’s sleep. We chose the hotel for the reviews and a description of ‘exceptional.” I would not call it that if you can’t sleep soundly. Also, the on site restaurant is very understaffed. The lovely staff and hostess did their best but there simply was not enough staff to get tables cleared to then seat more guests and get orders into the kitchen in a timely manner. The food was very good but it was too long an investment of time and not because the existing staff weren’t working their hardest. Although the hotel was a lovely space and the staff friendly and helpful, I would not recommend the hotel without a serious warning about the lack of sound proofing. You could get lucky and not have “loud” people beside you but I would not take that chance again. We had read a couple reviews which did note the lack of quiet and we should have paid better attention to those reviews. Bikes are available at the hotel. There are 4 bikes and they are bikes you would pass by at a garage sale or flea market. They should have been replaced years ago. That seems like a cheap enough fix. Apparently new bikes are on order but why they wouldn’t have been prepared for tourists at a busy time of year is not...
