Morse Equipment used to be our number 1 rental option until an incident occurred of which was out of our control, and feel the situation was not handled professionally. We had a tow behind compressor, traveling at speed limit or under, through construction off of 41 in Sarasota near the new round about before Ringling Bridge, and the tire hit a hole. The driver could not sway to the left nor right because of structures and vehicles adjacent. This incident caused the tire to blow and axle apparently was bent. The tow behind compressor almost tipped, but the driver thankfully saved it.
The driver took photos of the situation directly after it occurred and took it to the construction company on site to inform them of possible issues others may have.
Past history includes our team replacing 2 rims and tires of which blew during a 1 day rental at our cost. These were not "incidents" of hitting a hole etc. They blew during travel on roadway.
Our driver also mentioned, to let us know how things turned out and if there was anything we could do because of the situation.
Nonetheless, Morse Equipment felt the need to blame us for this accident and refuses to rent anything further to us. But not once did they call to mention the issue at hand. We feel this could of been handled much more...
