Olive Mill — Local services in Saugatuck

This place is a must-stop-shop in Saugatuck. They have a slew of infused olive oils on one side and an equal number of infused balsamic vinegar selections on the other. The shopkeeper will dole out little paper taster cups to smell and sip to see what you like best. The aromas are amazing, and they recommend different dishes and combinations, all of which are easily conjured in your mind to be delicious. I wanted to try it all, but I zeroed in on just a couple. I tried the Tuscan olive oil, which they said was a top seller, and ended up getting an 18oz bottle of that. Then I tried the cherry balsamic, which was reminiscent of a cherry cola or a classic cough drop, but better, ("If cough drops tasted like this, I'd never cough again in my life!"). Lastly I tried the hickory smoked balsamic, and my jaw almost dropped. It is smokey and savory, like liquid barbeque, and I instantly wanted to make burgers with it. I got a bottle of that too, along with a pour cap they sell for an additional $3, but which will prevent me from overdoing the pour, which I'd be tempted to do! I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into an Olive oil store but this was wonderful. They have such a wide selection of types of olive oil( lemon, bacon, butter…)
