My husband and I visited this establishment on 07/04/2021. Although we had to leave immediately when our food came due to an unforseen situation, therefore, packing our food up to go, the short time we did spend at The Mitten Brewing Company was pleasant.
For starters, we were able to get a table for two right away, which was unexpected, since it was quite busy. Both the two individuals who found us a table, as well as our hostess, were friendly and helpful. Our server arrived right away to take our drink orders and answer any questions we had. During our visit, our server was prompt, warm, and just fantastic all the way around. She was very understanding about our need to leave urgently, and went above and beyond to help us get out of there quickly. I wish we could remember her name so I could give her proper credit, but she was blonde and was working at around 4pm on July 4 if that helps.😆
Now, for the food. First of all, THEY HAVE VEGAN OPTIONS. And not just a generic burger or spaghetti with marinara, like, REALLY good ones! I had the Impossible Burger, which came on a pretzel bun with vegan mayo, plus a whole lot of other yummy stuff. I also had vegan garlic cheesy bread with vegan ranch, and my husband had a call one with jalapenos, mushrooms, and banana peppers. All of our food was phenomenal! Absolutely amazing!
Overall, our experience here could not have gone any better. We don't live far, so we will certainly return and hopefully stay longer. If you are vegan, you are going to want to check this place out. Even if you are not vegan, still...
Read moreThe Mitten is our favorite family outing in town. They've created such a casual, relaxed environment that it's the one place we feel like we can take our kids and not have to keep them pent up and straight laced. Almost every time we've been in (and we're frequent fliers), we've ended up sitting at the large table in the front of the restaurant with another group that has been incredibly friendly and relational. We love the community aspect of that table and hope to keep making local friends there! My husband and I both have very different tastes in beer and pizza, and we are equally happy here - I'm able to get my craft pizza fix in with The Curse of the Goat, and he gets his more traditional fix with Da Meat Hook. Every beer I've had has satisfied my stout-loving heart, and my husband loves to sit with some friends on Tuesdays for Mug Club Night.
This place has been such a welcome addition to our little town, with its wonderful staff, food and beer. We hope to keep you around for a long...
Read moreThis was our first time at this location and I will say we were unimpressed. I’ll start with the upsides- It is a pretty cool space with an outdoor seating area which had mostly enough umbrellas to shield the evening sun. The place is clearly understaffed but welcoming. Not sure if the understaffing is intentional or not. We ordered 1 pizza flight and 1 order of pickle bread somethings. The beer was as usual and was served fairly quick considering. We waited 45 minutes and noticed people who arrived after us getting their food. We went to the bar and asked about our order and they found it alone in the pizza warmer at the bar. No good. They wouldn’t simply substitute vegan sausage for regular sausage on the pizza flight even though all pies are advertised as vegan options. Also lame. The pickle bread was under baked. The pizza was baked well. Honestly we won’t go back there which is too bad as I had high hopes for the space being not far...
