Thrust Performance — Local services in Sayreville

Went here over the weekend for a oil change and ended up paying more than I wanted...but I'm glad I did! The oil change itself was not too bad at all but the guy working on my car was thoroughly inspecting the car and noticed several issues. For months my car sounded louder than usual and didn't drive as smooth, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I had 1-2 oil changes and the mechanics didn't locate the issue and just said its a loud exhaust. Finally when I went to Thrust, at fist glance they noticed the car was loud and showed me the break in the tail pipe once the car was lifted. I cant believe the other mechanics never saw it or even how I could have missed such an obvious break, but the guys are Trust were able to fix this at a decent price. Wasn't happy to pay for it at first but once I noticed the difference in how my car sounds and runs, I'm so disappointed I didn't get it checked out by them earlier.

They also topped off the fluids and checked the tires. One of my tires had a nail which they fixed in 5 minutes. Other shops are not as detailed as these guys, and I have been everywhere looking for a good shop Brooklyn, Staten Island, Newark, Jersey City etc. Most of all, other shops don't give you time of day when they know your just coming in for a oil change, one shop even told me they don't have time for that.

I don't usually write reviews but felt obligated on this one. I'm glad I took a chance to check this place out. Seems most mechanics don't know what their doing and the good ones have become such divas they don't want to work on oil changes (Not going to name any names here) but these guys are awesome. Absolutely wonderful experience! I came here early this morning, Saturday June 23, knowing they closed at 1pm. They saw me right away and took care of everything I asked them too. Oil change, fluid check, what I believed was a noise from my rotors. Not much, but they were quick and explained everything to me in terms I would understand and without treating me like I was dumb for not knowing things like other mechanics usually do. My girlfriend had dropped off her car the day before around noon at a different mechanic and those mechanics just called back at noon today so a total of 24 hours and still had nothing done, not even the oil change.??? So we picked up her car because they wanted over $1000 for what she needed done and we couldn’t pay. Came here an hour til closing and they took care of her spark plugs for now because the other place cleared the check engine light so Mike said come back when it comes back on so they can find the problem with the Evap canister. Mike is a great guy. Another kid came in with a problem of smoking under the hood and had to leave his car overnight. The kid had to be at the train station for 12:45 and was gonna walk but Mike sent somebody to bring him saying he didn’t want him to walk. Reasonable pricing, smart mechanics and just absolutely great people here. Anybody that says any different on reviews or in the physical shop came in and acted like Thrust didn’t know what they were doing and were trying to negotiate their already decent prices. You can’t find a better place to bring your car. They don’t take short cuts fixing your car. Replacement parts are top quality products. Much better service than the car dealership & a lot less expensive. I live in Howell. It takes about 25 minutes to get to their shop. I pass 25 repair shops and a dealership just so they can work on my car. I would never Trust my car to anyone but Thrust. They are the real deal.

GREAT Service, Service, Service! Did you ever have a problem with your car and you wished that you could bring it to someone who would figure out what the problem was immediately, then fix it in a timely manner, and use only the best material so that you don't have to come back a second time? Well that is what it's like going to Thrust Performance. There is a reason that when you go to the shop there are lots of people waiting to have their car fixed or making future appointments. Those people realize, (as I have), that these guys know what they are doing and are doing it RIGHT! Don't bargain with them. They use the best replacement parts, charge a fair price and they deserve to get paid what the bill is. These guys are not related to me and they didn't pay me to write the above. I'd like to think of them as friends because they take very good care of me and my cars the way a friend would. By the way, they are like that...
