Wow, this place is amazing! Was here on a Thursday night. $30 for dinner ($20 for lunch with a more limited menu and upcharge for sashimi) and you really get your money's worth! The sashimi was amazing for the price. Who offers unlimited sashimi for $30!?! I went through all of the sashimi options and loved the variety and texture of all the fish. It's small cuts but it's all you can eat so after trying everything, narrowed in on our top 5-7 favorite options and just kept reordering. The hand rolls are awesome as well and we had some of the special rolls and they look beautiful and taste awesome! If you get rolls, come in a bigger group so you can try more items and split the different rolls between more people because you will fill up. The sushi appetizers are the secret sauce here. So delicious and just a ton of fish with no fillers. Portions are small so you can try everything without filling up and then reorder your favorites! All the hot food came out super hot and we had to wait for it to cool off. It and the fish were always fresh. Service was so fast. They have these little signs on the table so when you need a server you stand it up and they appear in a few seconds. Super fast and friendly service that explained all our questions! The ice cream is even unlimited which is dangerous for me because I got a second round. Seriously, this is worth way more than $30. For those complaining that this doesn't compete with the $200 Omakase in Manhattan, get a life. It's $30 for AYCE sushi. This restaurant is amazing value, fresh fish and hot foods, fast service, and friendly and helpful staff. The decor is even really cool with the art on the walls and the cool whale lights. I will be coming back for dinner and stuffing my face with all of the delicious menu options...

What a gem of a sushi place that South Amboy gets to claim! This AYCE spot just opened up as we were getting ready to move away from town so we decided to give it a shot with low expectations as the sushi in the area is just okay. We were blown away by the quality of the fish, quick service and atmosphere of the restaurant. We ordered several special rolls, sashimi, appetizers (gyoza, scallion pancake) and ramen. Starting with the sushi, when we came the rolls were on point with thin rolls of rice and packed with fish. The sashimi was perfectly thick with FRESH, melt in your mouth fish. The scallion pancake was just out of the pan/fryer with very little excess oil taste which I typically avoid scallion pancake due to. It was very fluffy and delicious. The ramen broth was a star…I would love to order just the broth as a soup as I’m sensitive to the noodles used but happily ate some and gave the rest to my boyfriend and enjoyed the egg and broth. I was a bit disappointed that wonton soup, fried wonton and lo mein have been removed from the menu as I was looking forward to trying it as they’re not typically found on AYCE menus, but can understand the difficulty with up-keeping such a diverse menu.

We will definitely be returning to SA to eat at Takumi very shortly and hope the quality is maintained as they become busier as they no doubt will with how great the food is. I cannot wait to return. Great AYCE (and honestly fabulous sushi on its own) was sorely needed in the area and is a welcome addition. The price is extremely fair for the...

This is one of my go to places for sushi!! The prices for the AYCE are lower than most of the other locations I have been to and for the amount of items on the menu and how much fish is actually in the rolls, I think its very worth the price. Most other places I've been to put a lot of rice on the rolls, however from what I have seen from ordering both take out and dining in, the rice on the rolls are about the same. The customer service is amazing, the waitresses are all very kind. I didn't really know what to order when first coming here because I was unfamiliar with the rolls, but my waitress was very kind and understanding and happily gave me several recommendations that were all delicious! The different kinds of drinks that they offer here are so unique as well! Most other AYCE places I've been to only offer soda, water, and tea, but here they also offer many different types of boba and fruit teas! I also highly recommend the Tonkotsu Ramen!! The atmosphere in the restaurant was absolutely amazing! The decor were all so colorful, the cherry blossoms on the ceiling were amazing to look at! I think that this place would be amazing for holidays like Valentine's Day and for anniversaries! (my husband loves sushi, we will definitely be coming here for our...

The first thing that hits you is the detail the owner put into the design of the restaurant. While the space is cozy, the bright and colorful decorations have you feeling like you’re in market in Japan with cherry blossom trees blooming overhead. The food was fresh, delicious and good quality. The first round of appetizers and food came out quickly and were small enough plates to allow you to try multiple things without filling up on a single appetizer or item. Unfortunately, it got busy while we were there and, understandably, that caused a bit of lag for our second and third rounds of orders. The staff checked in frequently and apologized for the delay, multiple times to ensure we knew they wanted to give us the greatest experience and genuinely cared about us having to wait a little longer for a few items. Nothing could ruin our experience, even that short delay. The food, the atmosphere, the staff, all phenomenal. For $28 all you can eat on a Friday night, this is a STEAL. This place is definitely going to be a new it spot for the area and I am already planning my next trip back!
