Bentley's Pet Stuff Schaumburg — Local services in Schaumburg Township

Bentleys Pet Stuff store located in Schaumburg, IL; was very clean and an awesome friendly staff when you enter the establishment.

However, the grooming section is in rear part of the store. The groomer I selected online, Taryn (with only 4 years of grooming experience) was very friendly and appeared to love animals.

Unfortunately, I am upset because she ignored my personal requests both written and verbal preferences of how I like MY PETS to be groomed. After scheduling online and in person I clearly indicated my grooming preferences for MY PETS. Taryn was too busy playing with the pups upon our arrival (which is nice, but, a groomer must also listen well to the customer grooming requests.) She did not listen well, at all nor did she honor any of my request! She cut and groomed my pets the way she wanted them groomed.

Granted I can be picky and somewhat anal rententative when it comes to how I want MY Pets groomed. Although, I can say, she maintained a big ole smile on her face the entire time I was "scolding" or complaining and asking her why did she not honor my grooming request, she was again, smiling saying "Their hair will grow back" her facial expression appeared to me as if she had blocked herself from hearing any of the words coming from my mouth, I was screaming at her , what have you done to my little babies, I hardly recognize them?

Additionally, she did well with dematting their fur but, that's about it. I paid a freaking 170 dollars for a first time visit to groom a 2 year old and 4 year old, "Deluxe Package."

If I decide to visit Bentleys Pet Stuff again. I do recommend a groomer with 5+ more grooming experience, listen well and/or write down any instructions of the customer pet mother grooming preferences. For majority pet lovers, their animals mean a lot to them. It is important for a groomer to listen well, and focus on the instructions carefully throughout the entire grooming process instead of spending a lot of time playing with the animals.

At this time, I am sadly disappointed and dissatisfied with Bentleys Pet Grooming overall grooming service. They were a referral and referral claimed "all of them are excellent groomers." I disagree.

FYI - A customer should read the bio of each groomer at Bentleys BEFORE scheduling an appointment for the years of grooming experience and his or her customer satisfaction reviews.

I wish I could have at least been refunded or at least half the cost because my instructions were totally ignored and not honored. I am being forced to look at my pups in a way I don't like their facial cut, or sanitary areas trimmed where I clearly requested for her not to cut or remove their fur!

I want a full refund! Damn...

Bentley's pet stuff has always been one of the top places I visit when I am seeking super healthy treats and high grade cat and dog food that both my pets love! When I lived in Greek town and Old town in Chicago I would visit twice weekly, come in and find the best quality dog food that both my pets seem to devour. I was so delighted to find this new location here in Schaumburg because now that I am here (for however long) this will be the number one pet shop I will visit from now on because it's so cleanly, well organized and filed with a variety of healthy, tasty food items for your pets. Did I mention toys? Every time I come here I always find a cute toy my cat may enjoy. This is my new favorite Bentlley's because the moment I walked in I was instantly struck by how organized and beautiful all the products are placed not to mention how friendly the staff is here. It smells clean, the food is incredibly healthy and there is a raw freezer section if you wish to feed your dog raw products. I love it here and it's incredibly close to where I am staying so win win! Just for anyone out there who might be afraid of the slightly higher prices don't forget these pet stores are a huge, huge step above the quality you will get from a more commercialized pet shop. You can become a member by supplying customer service with your phone number and email address to accumulate points towards coupons. LARGER chains like Petco or PetsmART are (just so so) but here you can find brands like Taste of the Wild and Frommer's. This is a boutique pet shop and they are very particular about carrying the top brands in pet treats, toys and food that are much healthier for your pets. I think anyone coming here for the first time will be overwhelmed and delighted with the variety...

THE ONLY place I take my fluff-butt Ellie. I am not biased, I am not bougie, and I am not a demanding person at all, despite how cute my puppy is. But the ladies here... consistently return to me a happy, fresh, insanely soft, snuggly pupper. They give insight on cuts, colors, and any fun ideas you can think of.

They don't take liberties, which is a truly great thing for me because every place I've taken my dog to before I found this site (even other bentlys') DID take liberties.

Examples with liberties - Cutting her tail or her ears, her bangs, her lashes, HECK her ENTIRE BODY - I ask for a half inch and she's groomed down to the skin like a poodle. @.@ so... no more ranting, but I was... pretty scarred. And my dog was next level anxiety ridden when it was time to get it done.

Except when we come here. SO super thanks for all that you guys do!!

And I will say it now to anyone who reads this - don't knock my review until you've gone. Lol. Then you can thank me...
