Fantastic stay. All of the staff I had interactions with were very friendly. Idk if this is a new build or remodel but the furnishings are just perfect. Our room had 2 Queens on the first floor with the most space I've had in a hotel room in some time. Air conditioner worked great for my husband; as for me I get freezing cold, but they had REAL blankets-Like an actual comforter and coverlet! I feel like its difficult to make everyone happy when it comes to hotel beds but based on many other hotels I've stayed at recently I'd say the mattress was a solid medium to firm. I had perfect sleep (until my 5 year old started kicking me). Shower with removable showerhead-no tub (perfectly fine for us). Also amazed at the sparkling white tiles and grout-hope the up keep is tops bc it currently looks beautiful. Next morning I grabbed coffee and was a little concerned that it was a dark roast (not usually a fan) so I topped it with some of the decaf light roast. One of the better cups of coffee I've had in awhile and I made sure to get a second for the road. There is not a "free" breakfast but if you book through the site I did see that there was a special to add on breakfast for $1. We ate elsewhere so I can't speak on that. The workout room I also did not use but did peek inside and thought it was nice and a place I would use for other stays. No pool or hot tub (that was my husbands hoping-not mine, lol). Overall, THIS is the hotel we will pick first if/when we are in...
Read moreWe expected more. The good: it was very clean. Good location (but note there are lots of places to stay in this little area)
The bad: They couldn’t find the reservation for our second room (eventually solved, front desk lady was nice) They only had 1 water bottle in rooms with two beds, no coffee stir sticks, literally 5 Kleenex before the boxes ran out The toilets in both rooms ran all night without any solution in sight (I took the tank off and looked…) The refrigerator was so loud (in both rooms) I almost got up at 3:00am to unplug it The hotel shuttle bus alarm went off FOUR TIMES, at 4:00 pm, 3:00am, 3:30am, and 4:00am. Each time for 3 consecutive sessions until it was successfully turned off. It was RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW There were loud men laughing and chatting in the halls between 3:00–4:00am as well.
Now the breakfast…Just—DON’T. One lady (nice but clearly not qualified) took our order. They ran out of coffee and didn’t have any made The food took forever and we were the only people there. When it came out, it was just bad. The egg ‘bake’ is an omelette, full of about 1 lb of cheese, 1 lb of tomatoes and maybe there was egg in there too? The waffle was DOUSED with whipped cream (not mentioned on the menu). Really great for a five year old. The potatoes were clearly a day old and reheated—the fork wouldn’t pierce them so we had to use our hands.
I’d choose...
Read moreA hotel stay should be more than a comfy bed. This hotel was that and more. The interaction with staff also plays into the experience. I booked 4 rooms for a weekend stay related to a family reunion. My first interaction was with Fron Desk Jim. We had visitors coming in from different states and arriving at various times. I called and spoke to Jim to see if room was ready. It was not but Jim volunteered to call me when it became available! That's unheard of. All my guests loved their stay. We absolutely loved the very large table in the bar area which was able to accommodate us for board games! After checkout, I noticed a discrepancy in room rates. Since I made my reservations through the Marriott Bonvoy website, I called them and despite admitting they erred, they were of little help. I called and spoke to Front Desk Abi and he came to my rescue for an amicable resolution. He too went above and beyond to accomplish that. I also had a pleasant experience with Abi during checkin when I paid for all the rooms. Very friendly and customer...
