Meeks Cafe — Local services in Schertz

Came out to support new food truck in the area. I ordered the fried fish with Mac n cheese and green beans. Beef nachos and red beans n rice. Husband ordered chicken wings with Mac n cheese.

For my food: Mac n cheese was dry, my fish was pink so I did not eat it. This is not salmon, it is suppose to be white and flaky. Green beans was good but you can tell it was straight from the can. Red beans and rice was boxed. Zatarains brand to be exact.

Nachos- chips were stale and cheese was coagulated, no jalapeños provided.

Husband food- simply put he did not like his chicken. Very soft at the bottom for it to be fried chicken wings.

Maybe I came on a wrong day but I’m not willing to go back. Very disappointed...

The people who run this place are super sweet, very nice lady & her husband. I had the fried fish plate & chicken wing plate. Fish is extra crispy and flavorful. I love that these are 4 whole wings, not half a wing that others do calling it a wing. Also it's not that steroid chicken thats all fatty, yall know what I mean. Wish there was more rice in the red beans, but I'm sure that's something you can just ask for and they'll accommodate. Go support...

Found this place off google and decided to give it a try. We ordered 3 plates with wings. The sides we ordered were mac & cheese, jambalaya, red beans & rice, and mashed potatoes with gravy .
