!!POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, FOOD WAS EVEN WORSE!! ONLY GET SNECKS FROM THE BUILDING NEXTDOOR!!!
I never thought a taco truck in San Antonio would disappoint and disgrace tex-mex cuisine this badly. Upon arrival my wife and I waited behind 1 other person at the window to place our order it was a busy Saturday night at 10pm. When we got to the window, the lady with the black hat that was taking orders rammed another customers order in my face looked at me and looked at the lady behind me as she was waiting her turn just like we did ours she looked at the lady picking up her food behind us signaling her to hurry and grab her food. Not a problem that the lady could have said excuse me but I thought there might have been a language barrier, once she started speaking to us that was not the case. We waited over 45 minutes for a burrito and nachos. As I departed to the window to grab my food there was another customer that went to the window besides us and she just looked at him and started talking to us to give us our food. This lady has no respect nor any sense of politeness, you would say excuse me when shoving food to another customer past someone else's face and when a new customer arrives you would acknowledge them with "hello I will be with you in just a second" instead this lady just looks and acts mute. Not a problem bad customer service is a thing sometimes especially on a Saturday night she might be having a day. We got home and I bit into my burrito the first time the meat was very chewy that's OK maybe it was just a bad section of meat, after taking 2 more bites I ripped the burrito open to find that all the meat in the burrito was just fatty meat(cheap meat) that's very chewy and had other sections of meat attached. As I continued to eat some of my burrito it just got worse, I never thought food can taste even worse as you continue eating. The food was not cheap either at 11$ a plate I expected more. If this taco truck was not deep on the east side where I don't think most of their clientele is mexican/Hispanic and is more African American they would have been closed down from lack of business, however I don't think the clientele grew up eating Mexican food so they wouldn't be able to tell the difference from good nor bad Mexican food/tex-mex. We got a raspa from the stand next store and a cucumber cup don't get anything from the taco truck just...
Read moreI’ll rate again, once the problem is corrected and fixed. I’ll post three pictures and you can tell me the difference. And this is two reviews in one , this was my third time going. First off I’d say I’d absolutely love this place. From the quick snacks to the food. I’ve had the Brittany special it was amazing. (Im a fat girl, it was refreshing and so tasty. My man loved it as well. The second time I got pina loca , I fell in love with it. OMG. SO FKIN DELICIOUS. It had some kinda cucumber nada and shaved ice with like some kind of raspa syrup. And cut up strawberries, mango, pineapple covered with chamoy. It was A1. Tonight I go and I first ask do you have pineapples? Cashier said yes I said oh yes I’ll take two pina loca. She said oh I’m sorry not those I’m like damn. I walked to the car sad , and then my guy said ask if we buy the pineapple, can they make it? I’m like oh okay. Walked back over and cashier SAID YES. we go to HEB AND WE GRAB TWO JUICY SWEET PINAPPLES. TAKE EM BACK & she said oh I called the owner and they brought pineapple . I’m like oh okay. Could have done that at first, but ok I take the pineapples I bought AND I SIT AND WAIT IN THE CAR15 mins pass I go grab my 2 pina loca & I IMMEDIATELY KNEW IT WAS GONNA BE A DISAPPOINTMENT. I go home put in freezer and relax and I eat it. It was fruit in a pineapple. I could have did that at home. It had no shaved ice, no cucumbernada no fruit covered in chamoy.. Just fruit with a bit of chamoy on there. I’m very disappointed, I was definitely craving and I’m a loyal and respectful customer. Picture are the pineapples i bought. The 2nd time we got pina loca. Then...
Read moreBased on the reviews I was really excited to try this place. When I saw a picture of what looked like nachos, I was super excited as my hand is injured and making my own is not an option and I have been craving them for awhile now. It was my fault for not thoroughly reading the description - I saw the two types and figured one was basically beans and cheese and one was "loaded" - meat, beans, cheese, pico, sour cream, and maybe quac. We arrived at about 6:40 as they were supposed to be open at 6 - at least according to what they advertise. They were still in the process of unlocking the windows when we arrived. When they finally opened, my husband ordered us an order of nachos to share. He asked for asada and NO beans. Well, when we got home, beyond the disappointment of lettuce, tomatoes, the canned nacho cheese and store bought chips (again my fault for not reading the full description), the nachos were smothered in beans without any meat. I cannot tolerate beans - their smell, taste or texture. So guess who didn't get any nachos? Though, I was told I would have been extremely disappointed - again because of the basically ball park nachos, slightly upgraded. (I just don't understand why it is so hard to get good nachos out here..not part of my review, but a serious peeve for S.A in general). We also ordered a couple of asada street tacos that were fairly good (thankfully, or I'd be even more hungry) - definitely not the best, but definitely good...
