It's a family establishment and great for families. Just stopped in to order and wait for pizza, but there was some confusion somewhere between the order (it wasn't special) and boxing. It didn't seem like there was much coordination and communication between staff ordering, staff preparing, staff cooking and staff boxing pizzas. I think maybe because one us expected to place order of pizza, then leave to tend to your children playing and staff takes their time figuring where/which tables the completed pizzas go to? IDK. There were a few pick-up orders that were evidently not correct from what I observed, while patiently waiting for my pizza off to the side.
Unattended kids of all ages everywhere, even hanging from the brass railings that are used to create an ordering line.
It was a bit chaotic and overwhelming to take in and I'm used to a massive family with all ages of kids running around.
My pizza finally was handed to me after corrections to order confusion. I had suspected it was the one that had been boxed and set aside as the staff at that end couldn't figure out whose pizza it was....even trying to get attention from the significantly excess noise and screaming of kids went unnoticed.
Finally, after about 40 minutes, a manager noticed a group of about 5 waiting off to the front of the cash registers and yelled (due to noise levels) at us for what we were waiting. Everyone but I stated phoned in pick-up order. Then it was shouting back and forth between us what was ordered, as evidently looking at receipts was not helpful to him.
Finally all of our pizzas started to come and sure enough the pizza I suspected was mine and set aside, was indeed my pizza. I did seriously consider just canceling it and asking for a refund, as waiting almost an hour by then was a bit ridiculous, but after the manager asked if I wanted a "fresh" one to his credit, I declined and took mine.
Why did I do that? Because people need breaks in life, even tiny little ones. By the look in his eyes I could see how much of a very long and arduous day it had been on him and, there's no way he gets paid enough to the volume of work he has as a manager. The look of relief in his eyes was repayment enough. He did give me a coupon for the next time, but - lol - it was a very windy day and as soon as I stepped out of that noise volume onto the considerably less noisy quiet street, the wind got it and my receipt and off it flew into the night. Oh well.
The pizza was just ok, having had pizza from NY to LA. It was food and I was starved from my own long day. I ate two slices of barely warm pizza, but at the minimum I gave the establishment a try from all the hype I had heard since moving to TX. I should have known, locals would have little to no real clue of what good pizza is, but at...
Read moreWorst experience of our life at any party. We held my nieces birthday party. The birthday girls father works nights, but as a host of the 30 people in his party, he was going to get beers for the guest. The managers started judging and making false statements that he was intoxicated and did not want to sell us anymore beer. A few guests even took it upon themselves to go and complain that how come they were not selling them anything. Ellis, the worker from the restaurant, stated they were TABC rules they were following. We then told him that those were not TABC REGULATIONS, that was their judgement. As we explained, more guest were arriving there and how come they would let us order more pizza but no beer. They then told us they would sell us two pitchers. Well they took about 45 and never took it to us. It gets worse, we felt so uncomfortable because the security kept on following our family even when they were playing in the arcade games. We felt so harassed and uncomfortable. We were ready for our cake and we asked for our ice creams and every party around us kept on getting theirs and when we went to ask they told US that machine was down. REALLY, KIDS COULDN’T EVEN ENJOY CAKE AND ICE CREAM. We couldn’t even open the gifts because of how embarrassed we were with our family. So much for a FIRST BIRTHDAY...
Read moreI had my son’s 1st birthday party there this past Saturday and it was a horrible experience. I called to make sure that everything was set for the party and they said they took his party off the schedule even though i had already put the deposit down. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone on hold waiting for the manager to talk to me. I hung up and called back and still had to wait another 30 minutes just to speak to the manager and when he finally got to the phone i spent 15 minutes explaining that I had already paid the deposit and everything. He says they have a slot available for me. He asks for my son’s name and i gave it to him even spelled it out Carl, i get there 15 minutes early and i let them know who i was and they said they had no idea what i was talking about. It took the manager 30 minutes to come and speak to me by this time my guest are already arriving. 45 minutes after the party was originally supposed to start the manager comes out and he realizes he spelled my son name wrong, he wrote down Callie( how he got that from Carl). The hostess we had was nice but most of the party she was nowhere to be found. My son and the kids had a great time but the experience...
