I wasn't going to leave a review of my pretty awful experience here, until I went to another nail salon and got the same services, but the experience was like night and day. This salon can usually squeeze in a walk-in (which is what I generally need), but beware! They will rush through everything at your expense! I always get SNS and lacquer pedi. The lady who did my pedicure did an okay job...not my best pedi, but not terrible. The lady doing my SNS...where do I start? She was very friendly, but was very rough with my nails and cuticles. I stated I had sensitive skin, and she seemed to understand, but was still rushing so much she would cut me every now and then. The SNS was applied okay, but she also rushed through the drying process and messed up 3 of my nails by wiping them too soon (Usually a tech checks with a finger before wiping) so she seemed very huffy about having to fix them (and I suffer from high anxiety in social/public situations unfortunately...ESPECIALLY if it's a potential confrontation) so I was more on edge having to ask her to fix my nails, and then as she was filing down one of the messed up nails, she did it so hard and vigorously she took off the top layer of my skin by my cuticle...and then painted over the open cut with the SNS clear setting coat. Talk about BURN! She also looked at my finger as if I was lying, when I was clearly not just reacting to react. She seemed sorry-ish, but I feel like ALL of this could have easily been avoided. I still tipped both of them because I'm not a monster lol, but my SNS ended up having debris dried in it, and was bubbly, and the worst part, my finger ended up getting infected. I don't remember the names of the techs, but I do feel like this story needed to be told so that the salon owners can be more proactive about how their techs treat customers. :/
The only reason it's 2 stars instead of 1 was because of...
Read moreMy first two experiences with Kim were amazing. She took her time and my nails lasted 3 weeks or more. Kim went on maternity leave and I asked for a recommendation for someone that would be as good. Jackie (mgr) made my appt with Kelly. Kelly did my nails on a Friday and by Saturday my nails were snagging on clothes, my polish was chipping and my nails just looked like I had on Lee Press On nails. I get basic square nails, nothing fancy. Kelly didn’t even take the time to shape my nails. They were wide and the edges were jagged and the polish looked thick and just like she plopped it on and didn’t bother applying it evenly or even caring if the gel polish dried properly. I spoke with Jackie (mgr) and Nicky and was advised to return and it would be fixed. I returned on Monday and Steven did fix the polish on my nails. He did a good job but by Tuesday the corners of my nails were shipping AGAIN. I live a distance from the shop and work a challenging job M-F and thus had no desire to return to have my nails done for a third time in one week. I called and spoke with jackie and was offered a mere $10 off of my next service. Let me add that I bring my daughter to the shop with me faithfully every two weeks and spend over $200 each time. $10 is insulting! Kelly then lied to Jackie and said that she had recommended that I soak off when I was there the first time on Friday. That was a complete lie and I was even more insulted that she would do that after I had been back there twice. So now you come up with such? I will not be back and that’s too bad because I really liked Kim and the ambiance, but poor performance turning into bad customer service and to add insult to injury, that turns until a lie??? Spend your time and money wisely. Below is a pic taken on Wednesday morning after my second visit on Monday . Don’t visit...
Read moreIve been going to this location since December of 2019. Normally, I would receive a great service, and this visit not only did it take twice as long, but after walking in and asking for a color match like I always do, expecting the fill-in price of $33, and a repair price for one nail of $5, I was charged $50 before tip, and was never told I was going to be charged near $20 more than I normally do. Normally, I ask for Lucy, and I’m matched as close as I can to the color I had. This time she wasn’t there, and I received a technician who kept burning me with the buffer, and got frustrated at me for not knowing the exact number. Never have I ever been told to remember the number of the color. I’m always matched. When I questioned the price I wasn’t expecting at the end, I was told that as a hairdresser I should understand that it’s not the technicians job to remember color, when I myself am in charge of remembering formulas for clients, and if I don’t have one, I’m matched. I asked why after a year of a routine that this time I’m being charged for so much more, and the woman at the desk (short hair with brassy highlights) just kept speaking over me and telling me it was my fault that I didn’t have the exact color number, and that they’re charging me for what I asked for — which is not what I asked for. That was an insane whirlwind, and although it’s convenient as a salon owner to just walk downstairs, and although I love the technician Lucy — that was insanely unprofessional, unclear, and rude. I will not be returning, and anyone who does, ask for Lucy, and be sure you make the rude front desk girl express clearly what you...
