Desert Rain Hair Studio & Head Spa — Local services in Scottsdale

I found Desert Rain and Burgundy on Instagram. I was skeptical after trying a different head spa that was truly awful. However, Burgundy had amazing reviews and I can certainly see why. She is booked out a ways, but it is VERY much worth the wait. The atmosphere in her studio is incredible with beautiful artwork on the walls, plants everywhere and cool stars projected on the ceiling for you to look at while laying back. She starts with a scalp analysis, which is really cool to see - then takes you through a ten step "facial" for your scalp. Her scalp, hand, neck and arm massages were INSANELY relaxing, and all of her products were very natural, scented with essential oils (she even lets you pick your scents!) and not perfumy at all. She walks you through every step, educating you and making you feel at ease. I almost fell asleep it was such a wonderful, relaxing experience - especially with the calming music playing in the background. She finishes with styling your hair, however you like - and doesn't make you feel like a burden for asking questions, or having specific requests. This was the best experience and it lived up to all the hype! Burgundy is such a nice and sweet person who wants you to feel spoiled and treated in this service. You can tell she truly wants you to feel immersed in this treatment! You first get your scalp assessed with this unbelievable microscope to see what is going on with your hair and you do this once more when you’re done with the service as well; and let me tell you I was blown away at the difference! The service itself was out of this world relaxing. Once the infrared light and steamer started while the rose quartz mask and chest weight went on, I was truly taken to another dimension in terms of my relaxation and tranquility. The various oils, shampoos and treatments were accompanied by Burgundy’s talented massaging techniques and tools on my scalp and it was a 10 out of 10 experience.
