Green Corner’s food is glorious! Their restaurant is lovely, casual and stylish and clean. The service is impeccable. Abby is a true stand out - she is so warm, welcoming, and she wants you to love your dining experience. But the star of the show is the food. We’ve been to Green Corner for dinner at least five times. Each dish we order is delicious, with fresh ingredients that create dishes full of flavor. Everything is perfectly seasoned with Middle Eastern and Greek spices. The salads are fresh and flavorful. The hommus is so creamy and smooth as it should be, and is served with olive oil and paprika. It is the best I’ve ever had. The tabbouleh is bursting with flavor from the mint, parsley, wheat, tomatoes and other ingredients. The steak kabobs are my favorite. Have you ever been asked how you like your steak kabob cooked? Most places serve a medium to medium well kabob. I ordered my steak kabobs medium rare and they were perfectly cooked and so tender. The chicken version is also perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the meats are fork tender. The platters come with a Greek salad, a large amount of wonderfully seasoned rice, and a healthy helping of the superb hommus, including pita. Top off your meal with a delicious piece of baklava for dessert. Other favorites of ours are the gyro platter and the chicken shawarma. You will be able to get two meals out of the generous platter portions. Having grown up eating Middle Eastern food, I know when the food is fresh and authentic. Changed it to a one star today. Since my first time coming here was my last day in Phoenix ~2 months ago and I have to come here every 2 months. I figured I would come back because it was really good, with great service. I think it was a fluke. The person that answered the phone was fine. The person I picked up my meal for seemed like she wish she was anywhere else but there. They're requesting two plasticware packs seem to be an effort for her. On the phone, I specifically asked to make sure I had taziki sauce not the other sauce for my plate, I got the other sauce. The whole point of a chicken platter for me, and one of a few reasons I came back was for the delicious tzatziki sauce. So I didn't have my sauce. There was hardly any lettuce, so I don't know if the salads are really supposed to be this tiny, but last time there was plenty of lettuce. The worst thing though was the chicken. I realize it is supposed to be charred but this was black, burnt and crunchy and the chicken was so dry. Without the tzatziki sauce I tried to use the hummus to flavor it but that's not what I intended or wanted and it didn't.
