Awesome teachers, and very friendly and supportive community and owners! Teachers are detail-oriented and make sure that you build the strong foundational skillset needed to advance and become a confident social dancer and/or performer. Great place to learn and make new fun friends! I'm particularly grateful for my experience over the past year on Alice & Ankur's sensual bachata social dancing training team. It helps so much to combine excellent instruction with consistent partners that you build trust and friendships with. For partner dancing, honest feedback and collaborative troubleshooting are essential. The team camaraderie is awesome, and there is lots of enthusiasm for optional activities outside of class, including weekend practices, potlucks/parties, and "field trips" to other cities. I've also loved my sensual bachata classes with Margarita & Johnny, and Alexa & Cathan! The studio regularly brings top teachers from around the world. For example, this weekend Korke & Judith, the creators of the Bachata Sensual style, came from Spain to teach. And I'm looking forward to Alonso & Noelia (2x Spain national champs) coming to teach in 2 weeks!

Benny and Ashley are fantastic instructors, and do a lot to make each class as fun, engaging, and instructive as they can. The classes are also structured for a variety of skill levels, from beginner series targeted at dancers who are brand new to salsa or bachata all the way higher level classes with footwork and partnerwork techniques designed to be challenging and valuable to dancers who've been learning for years. In addition to socials, individual and partnerwork teams, the studio also regularly hosts workshops from professional dancers from all over the world. I've learned so much at Baila District and have every intention of continuing learning there for years.

I’ve been coming from Vancouver to dance at Baila District because it’s impressive the amount of events they put together to bring international talent to the PNW! Also everyone at Baila is super nice, specially Alice who is pretty much my favourite follow in Seattle!

I highly recommend Baila District! At first, we had a miscommunication about the rates of private lessons. But, they very quickly and professionally made good on that. I really appreciated this!

When we finally had our first salsa lesson with Alexa, we were just blown away! She would show us a new move and I would freak a little inside, "I can't do that! I'm too old and white and broken!" Then, so graciously, she would calmly and with a little kind laughter ease us right through that anxiety into knowledge, like a good dance leader! The result is that it was SO much fun!

Alexa also nailed the class! From warm-up into some basics all the way through filming some helpful videos at the end - she simply nailed it! Her pacing, verbal and physical explanations, tips along the way, and technical expertise were perfect!

I highly recommend Baila District and Alexa as a...

Baila District's sensual bachata classes are excellent. If you're looking to make progress and improve as a bachata dancer, look no further. The heavy focus on technique and fundamentals has made a huge difference in the quality of both my solo and partner dancing over the last 6 months since I started taking classes here. Margarita and Johnny and Alice and Ankur are excellent instructors who really care about their students and are always seeking opportunities to improve themselves and their instruction.

I also appreciate that Baila District consistently brings top level bachata dancers from out of town to put on workshops and teach and it really benefits the entire Seattle bachata community as a whole. Super awesome place - would highly recommend taking...
