TL;DR hair taken seriously for seriously good results. I’ve been using professional red dye at home for 18 years and have run the gamut of colors and conditions for my hair. I liked my base home-dye color and wanted to keep the autonomy of touching up my roots but came to Saige to add definition, dynamic lighter parts, layering, and improve the shine of my dull hair. I met Saige and was instantly struck by her color knowledge, her long term thinking about my hair goals and how collaborative she was in strategizing. The experience itself was the best I’ve had in a salon, it felt like a spa day, but with nostalgic 90s music. Saige respected that I had some work to do whilst I was there but kept me informed on the clever chemistry magic she was performing on my hair at every stage. Saige has an incredibly light touch, none of the products used were over powering smell or reaction wise, and the head massage almost had me floating out of the chair. And she dyed my eyebrows! The cost was more than I’ve ever spent on my hair, but it was truly worth it for the level of detail Saige puts in not only to the hair care, but the experience in the salon. Thank you!

Had such a great experience with Saige today! Cutest salon space, lovely products, and an excellent cut. First time full on bangs for me and they turned out so cute. I have curly and thick hair, and she was able to cut it so cute for whatever way I want to style it—natural or blown out. Saige gave me great advice on styling for my new cut and I totally trusted her as we were going through the process, you could tell she is an expert in a variety of hair textures. Can’t wait to wash and see what my curls will turn into but at the same time I want this blowout to last forever haha. She gave me a little preview on the bangs before we shampooed and I’m stoked. We kept talking about hair health, love a stylist that prioritizes health of my hair and gives advice for best outcomes. Lovely experience! Highly recommend.

A friend of mine referred me to Jordan to get a LONG overdue haircut (2+ years). My experience was amazing! Jordan’s consultation was very thorough, and she frequently checked in with me to make sure I was happy with my haircut throughout the process. She managed to salvage most of my length and provide me with a super cute, low-maintenance style which is exactly what I was looking for. I walked in with hair that felt like a broom—it was so dry and damaged that I didn’t even know how to style it anymore—and I left with incredibly healthy, bouncy, shiny hair that even days later, I can’t stop playing with. Super knowledgeable and kind staff—will definitely be coming back!

My experience with Karissa was not a pleasant one, she refused to color my hair after I arrived 8 minutes late, for which I received a telling off. It was so humiliating. I had actually apologized twice to her, immediately on arrival because I didn’t realized the adjacent road where I normally park was actually closed off that day and had to drive around the block to park. My appointment on 10/10 was booked for 2.30hrs, so I thought we had plenty of time. So after telling me off, she asked me how my last coloring was and I explained that I would like to go a bit darker in tone because the previous tone showed some areas of discoloration and showed my greys after 2weeks. We had discussed the color being a bit richer and darker in our previous appointment. This was to be my third appointment visiting her for my 6 week root and tone touch up. She then continued to say that she didn’t feel comfortable coloring my hair because I keep complaining after every appointment! I was totally confused because this was only my 3rd appointment with her and I was only giving her my feedback on the last color and was not complaining after she had asked. I loved my first appointment and would not have gone back to her to have more treatments if I was unhappy with it. But I could see from her attitude that she was not going to treat me. I was quite shocked and I was very upset so I asked her to make an appointment for me with another stylist to do the coloring and she refused to book the appointment for me, saying she needs to talk to the owner first. Wow!! Is this how you treat your clients? I had taken off 3 hrs of my time to see her, I think she is totally unprofessional because if she didn’t want to treat me then after our last appointment she should have said so and canceled my appointments before my arrival or referred me to her other colleagues that can...

This review is for the girls (or guys!) who are picky as hell about their hair, i.e.: if you treat finding a new salon like investigative journalism and wouldn't blink an eye at boarding a plane to get cut/colored by someone you trust.

I have seen so many stylists over the years (in different cities, states, even countries). And you guys, let me tell you, Saige is special. I could honestly write an essay about how impressive and worth-every-penny her work is, but no one’s going to read that so here’s the abridged version:

She really takes time to ask questions and get on the same page before getting started and I've never felt uncertain or anxious when the scissors come out — it feels like a full-on artistic collaboration and I continue to be obsessed with my hair months after leaving I have learned a ton about hair health from her, literally at a scientific level, and my hair is shinier and softer than it's been in years She's super clear and communicative about her policies, which maybe some people would be put off by, but for me it shows how seriously she takes her work and values her clients' time She can talk at length about almost any product you ask about — ingredients, how to use, molecular structure (seriously) It's so evident how passionate she is in every little detail, from how services are structured and priced to little things like having cloth towels in the bathroom instead of paper Trust the process because she has a great eye and is so good at taking a photo of what I want and customizing/editing it to fit my face/texture/lifestyle

I am so happy to have found Saige and Wild Oak—they've forever raised the bar for how blissful my hair can...
