This toy store is nestled downtown and has an adorable Lego soldier "standing guard" out front. I brought my husband here - mostly with our nephews in mind - partly for him. We walked from the back of the store through to the front.
Shelves are lined with plush dolls, small toys, stuff you can build, animals you can dress, and more awesome toys - even some I recognized from childhood! There were children's art supplies, a Rube Goldberg setup out back, and a balance bicycle in the window (a bicycle with no pedals, for toddlers). It was full of greatness and a lot of fun to walk through!
We didn't buy anything for our nephews (we already have their Christmas gifts) but this would be a great place to shop for any little ones...

This place is a child’s wonderland. If I had taken my little ones here they would be absolutely smitten and never want to leave! I’d like to think even teenagers would be thrilled to see the many things here, toys of all ages and sizes, even as adults my relatives and I had a blast looking at modern toys to older toys from back when. I would even recommend for tourists to come take a look. The outside is also very interactive for the kids and everything about this place is wonderful.
They even have an upstairs which is neat! Looking down was definitely a delight, to see the store from a different angle...
Read moreThe Toyworks is really a great store. People goof up sometimes, but we're human, so give them a break! One time I had the most mangled, laughable wrapping job done there by a teenage employee who didn't know how to do it, but it was just kind of funny and not a big deal. It's not like the 5-year-old the package was going to would be criticizing the wrapping job. The more important thing is that the store is packed with so many good quality toys from Melissa and Doug and award winning toy makers. I've gotten well-informed advice on what to pick out, they're local, and it saves me from the big...
