NAIL LOUNGE — Local services in Sebring

When I found the nail lounge I was so happy. The atmosphere was great and everyone was nice. That all changed when I went in this week for a polish change. When I walked in and asked for a polish change the lady asked “who wants a polish change” no one responded even though there were people who were not doing anything so I was asked to wait. I guess that should have been my first sign my visit wasn’t going to go as planned. A younger guy ended up taking me back. He was not personable and completely acted like he was doing me a favor. He cut down my nails, didn’t file them and left them sharp and jagged. Old polish was still all around the edges of my nails and the new polish was clumpy. I paid when I walked outside in the light I saw just how bad they truly looked. I went back in and asked them to fix it. Instead of removing the polish and starting over he scrapped around the edges, filed my nails with the polish on and the edges where the polish clumpy blamed it on my nail and just cut my nail. He told me if I wanted all of the old polish off I should have gotten a pedicure instead of a polish change. Well sir I didn’t have time for a full pedicure. I have gotten polish changes for years in between pedicures and never had an issue. My nails still look terrible after him “fixing” them. Never again. Love this salon! They are so friendly and do a great job!!! Highly recommend. 5/17/24 now I need to amend my review. I previously gave 5 stars. Today I would have given 1 at best. I took my sister who is handicapped and wanted a pedicure. I had tennis shoes on. I only visit this area and forgot sandals. They make you leave barefoot. They apparently are too cheap to offer the throw away sandals that all other salons I've visited have. They put plastic sandals on while I sat under the dryer and removed them, I guess to be used again, before I left. It was 90+ degrees and the concrete was so hot it burned my feet. I guess I could have worn the tennis shoes out and ruined the $65 pedicure. The person who performed my manicure seemed inexperienced. It took her 4 times, with the help of two other employees, to get warm water. I always get the deluxe pedicure so I'm familiar with the steps. First time customer here!

Matt is skillful. Although he is not the most approchable or customer service oriented nail tech he's clearly a perfectionist and he is skillful.

You can tell he takes pride in his work by how meticulous and precise he is with every detail in the way he drew my French tops.

I did find that Matt could be a little less forceful when handling my fingers during the manicure, and at times it felt like he was rushing a bit.

He also asked me to arrive earlier. I was a walk in around 4pm. I called the salon prior to coming and was told by the receptionist to come in

Overall Matt did his thing the nail itself is done beautifully!!! I love it ! Matt is skillful!
