I can definitely say this place is ok if you're used to hit and miss restaurants I did not just order one time an posted a review I have ordered from havana easy 20 times to be honest the foods not to bad could use Improvement pretty much every time that I order the order doesn't come out like I wanted it or like I ordered it either it's overcooked it's missing ham missing bacon they put ketchup or mayonnaise on it when I don't want ketchup or mayonnaise or onions they're not consistent it's a hidden Miss you got to cross your fingers when you order from this restaurant hoping that when you go get your food it's exactly like you were expecting it to be plenty of times I have ordered picked up my order get all the way to my house and when I open it it's not what I ordered missing bacon missing ham not enough eggs again if you like to go to restaurants that are hit or miss and throw away your money this is the place to go get some of the staff is Pleasant to be around and they help accordingly but the majority of the time they don't get your order right especially the people in the back kitchen I don't understand if you got a piece of paper telling you exactly what you what the person ordered how can it be so difficult to put that order out I'd rather take the two and a half hour ride down to Miami and go to a restaurant over there than to waste my money at this one you know what's sad what sad is that that's the food that they're giving the people in Sebring and it doesn't matter to them because if it did they would change that restaurant around and give better Food Service but it doesn't matter because they're one of the only restaurants in Sebring that has Spanish food so it's one of these places take it or leave it and the owners don't care because if they did they've tried to straighten there act and start giving the customers what they order not what you think they ordered and as a matter of fact I think two stars is a little too much . And don't get me wrong I'm not a sour person but I am is a consumer that pays for a service and it's not getting their service that's all I am and it's...
Read moreI was in Sebring this weekend looking for something different to eat and came across this place. I'll start with the good. The place was clean. Flood was swept and tables were wiped.
As far as everything else? Meh. We were told to sit whereever when we came in and then it took what seemed like 10 minutes to get a server to help us. We started with Potatoe Balls which were OK but if I'm being honest they were still kinda cold inside. What really set me off though was the fact that the server gave no side plates and a plastic spoon to eat them with. It was messy to say the least.
We ordered a turkey sandwich and a Cuban Supreme. The turkey sandwich was made with turkey that you would find prepackaged. It wasn't fresh sliced turkey at all. For that price I can get a sandwich made with fresh cold cuts anywhere. There was absolutely nothing special about the sandwich. In fact although the bread was toasted it wasn't buttered. So it felt like I was just eating meat on dry toasted bread. Not a good experience.
Maybe they have such good ratings because there just isn't a lot of choice in the area for Cuban food so you take what you can get. This is also for what I ordered so maybe everything else is amazing. But not buttering your toasted bread for a sandwich is practically unforgivable. And I feel that using prepackaged lunch meat that tastes like it came out of a Lunchable is absolutely unforgivable. They do good business though because by the time we left the place was packed. So give it a shot I guess but for me I would say...
Read moreHonestly don't even waste your money, I have been looking for Good Cuban food for the longest in central Florida and its kinda hard to find when you are used to that Miami Flavor. The Food didn't taste the best But it was edible, the eggs were asked over medium and substitute ham for bacon but when the plate came to the table the eggs were overcooked and they put ham instead of bacon, we sent the plate back for bacon and again the eggs came back over cooked and the bacon didn't taste right it tasted old and I was never told that substituting the ham for bacon was an extra charge the special was 6.99 I ended up paying 9.99 for a half eaten plate and left most of the bacon. The Cuban sandwich was more like a ham and cheese because their was a small slice of pork, the bread also wasn't toasted enough so it was in between soft and slightly crunch it was a big disappointment because I love Cuban sandwich's its something I have always loved growing up in Miami. The orange juice was Good, the only thing is that i didn't see it on the menu i asked for it because i saw the machine and when i was charged i paid 4.75 for a cup not even refills and i almost fell out my chair those drinks are $3.25 tops every where else, smdh for that price i could've bought a damn gallon somewhere else. I drove an hour with my family because I was told by a family friend that Havana restaurant was so Delicious but it was a flop🤷 we live...
