We have eaten here on several occasions and for the most part the food and service has always been good. I don’t know if they have changed management or what has happened here, but we went last night and it will probably be the last time we go!! When we arrived we were told a 30 minute wait...after almost 40 minutes I asked where we were on the list and was told 5-10 more minutes. We were finally seated after about 10 minutes. (Total wait time 50 minutes) Usually the tables have silverware wrapped in red cloth napkins when you are seated. When we sat down there were no napkins or silverware on the table. After almost 10 minutes our waitress finally showed up to take our drink order. It was again another 10 minutes before our waitress came back with our drinks and took our dinner order. There were four of us in our party, so not a large group. We all ordered soup with our dinner. This time it was nearly 15 minutes before the soup came out...and did I mention we still didn’t have silverware and napkins ! When the waitress serve our soup, we asked for silverware. She informed us that as soon as they had some clean silverware she would bring it to us. Apparently they had totally run out of silverware!! My husband ended up drinking his soup out of the bowl, because by the time we finally did get spoons, our soup was cold. When the waitress brought us our spoons, she informed us that our dinners would be right out. Which was the only thing that actually came timely. This is when she finally brought us a stack of paper napkins. Honestly, this was some of the worst restaurant management I have ever seen! What restaurant runs out of silverware in the middle of a dinner service!! All told, we arrived at 6:45 PM and by the time we finished our dinner it was almost 9 PM. I should mention, this was during the summer “off season”. I can’t imagine how they’re going to handle this restaurant when the snowbirds come back in October. But I will never know, because I won’t be going back!!!
