Read moreBeen here twice in my life and both times were garbage. It baffles me seeing 5 star reviews coupled with âgreat foodâ or âgood serviceâ when both things werenât present in the slightest the first and the last time I went there just a couple months ago and around 5 years the first time. It even blows my mind more when people come back! WILLINGLY! The staff are a bunch of penny pinchers that scoffed and gossiped in Chinese after I tipped her $3 which is $3 more than what I shouldâve given her for serving us waters and walking past us when we clearly called for her. Having the audacity to talk smack when I had to serve myself is another level of stupidity. We havenât even got to the worst part, the food. Now if youâve got a beer palette and canât even point to China on a map this food is off the chain but if youâve got any working tastebuds do yourself a favor and pull into the numerous other chains in this area theyâd rather build than a single park or gym. They canât even do the Asian food right and thatâs the whole premise of this place. Heads up: sushiâs supposed to have FLAVOR, and yes, EVEN THE RICE.You canât just cut up fish thatâs been sitting in the freezer since Chairman Mao, rinse it with tap water, serve it on top of rice and call that sushi. I donât trust the meat here because itâs probably a bunch of roadkill and the âchickenâ is probably the vultures they caught that were circling it. For the dessert, itâs nearly impossible to mess boxed mini cakes up so compliments to the cake mix company. The ice cream is subpar. And compliments to the fruit trees and sprouts or whatever else that produced the fruit in the dessert section. And as much as I hate to say it the decor is not too bad and thatâs where my praise stops because itâs immediately ruined by the sticky floors, smell of tap water, nasty attitudes, and dread of having for pay for it at the end of it while the waiters give your check back to you expecting a tip. long story short if you think youre getting a bargain just know that youâre paying to have...
Read moreI HATE having to give reviews like this, but this buffet is incredibly predatory with their prices for the quality of food that they serve. We are from out of town, and were desperate for a nice buffet. This one, being the only one that stayed open past 8PM, was our go-to. We were immediately directed to our seats and had several...not-very-appetizing plates of food. Their sesame chicken was NOT sesame chicken, their "spicy shrimp" had no flavor, their egg rolls were somehow both hard AND chewy, and they were charging sixty cents APIECE for their sushi buffet so I think that we may have dodged a bullet on that one.
When the bill came, we discovered we were charged $16.95 A PERSON for our meals, which was labeled as a "seafood special." Apparently from 4-10PM on Friday and Saturday they upcharge four dollars from their regular price to provide what has been (at every other Chinese buffet I have been to, at least) part and parcel of a standard buffet experience. And they do not inform you of this price, either. They have a sign by the register, but you are deliberately directed AWAY from it when you enter, and are then berated by the waitresses for having not seen it in the first place.
This restaurant knows exactly what it is doing, and it is quite sad to see so many people charged so much for what should be a $10-11 meal at BEST. Again, if the food had been of much better quality there wouldn't be a complaint. But when you serve the same prefab meal as any other buffet the only thing that gives you the right to charge the prices you do is the sheer desperation of people looking for food in a town that goes...
