38 South Thrift Store — Local services in Selinsgrove

First time we went a few weeks ago and a very nice man gave a good deal on a box full of stuff. Which was reasonable for both him and I. This time we went, the lady didn't want to do any kind of good deal. They have so many items to look at that it's like a hoarders house. Things are strewn everywhere causing things to get damaged. The owner thinks she owns a goldmine and asks unrealistic prices. She should be willing to make a decent deal to get rid of some of the clutter. Instead, she has to examine every little item and guess from the top of her head what she should get whether it's realistic or not. Not everything that is older is valuable. Seemed rude and not very helpful. Will not be going back any time...

The is place is a “digger-root throughers” paradise! It is absolutely loaded with all sorts of treasure! The prices were great and the lady and her younger staff member were super friendly. When you open the front door it looks a bit of a mess but you will find that the place is actually grouped by common treasures. The walkways are tight but don’t let that scare you away! I loved finding this gem of a store and will definitely go back!! I wish I would have taken pictures but was too involved in my treasure hunting to grab a pic!! I can’t...

Wow, if you like to dig for treasures this is the place for you! It is a hoarders paradise! It's somewhat organized by types of items, but some rooms are heaped in stuff and difficult to maneuver through. Room after room of everything you can imagine. We did have fun weaving in and out of piles of stuff and managed to find a few treasures. The outside of this place is deceiving. There are many, many rooms an upstairs and a basement...
