Not only did they fail to fix the issues we brought our laptop in for, but they somehow managed to make it worse, then refused to be held accountable.

When we brought the laptop back to have them fix it properly, they got defensive, started talking over me, and refused to listen. They claimed they had me sign a release waiver when I dropped it off, but when I asked them to show me the waiver I signed, they wouldn't. Instead, they ran off to the back room and ignored me for upwards of 5 minutes with no explanation, and when I spoke up, they came out cussing at me and kicked me out, threatening to call the cops.

Editing to clarify, since it seems I need to:

I personally did not come in asking for a refund. I didn't even mention money when I spoke to the apparent owner. If my friend, who spoke to him first without me there, did, then I wouldn't know; if she at all behaved rashly in their exchange, then I apologize on her behalf, but that by no means justifies the way that I was treated. I only came in asking for them to take the laptop back and correct the still existing issue -- the battery drainage -- and the new issues -- the crashing and freezing, that had only begun immediately upon startup after we picked it up from them not 2 days prior. It hadn't been touched since we first brought it home and tried booting it up, only for it to crash several times before finally booting correctly, then freezing within 20-30 minutes of basic use.

He never asked me to see it, nor did he even pause to listen to what I had to say. Instead, he chose to stay heated up and insisted that it was impossible that a technical issue could have developed from them working on it, and all they could do was replace the battery again. When he began referring to some waiver that he says I signed, I asked him to show it to me. He then showed me someone else's waiver, but couldnt seem to find mine. I insisted I wanted to see the one I specifically signed (a reasonable request) but he continued to be difficult about it before digging around on his computer for a few minutes, mumbling something about the printer, and then walking into the back with no further acknowledgment. I waited quietly for at least 5 minutes with no news or signs that I wasn't just being outright ignored before saying (only once, and in a clear voice, not yelling incessantly as he would have you believe), "I still haven't seen that waiver."

It was then that he decided to escalate the scene beyond reason, storming out and swearing and shouting over me, and when I asked firmly what I had done wrong, that's when he began threatening me.

He eventually went back to the back room again in a huff, and I left to sit in my car and try to cool my head before driving away. After talking and telling my friend about the exchange, she became heated as well. That was when another customer pulled in, and she (rather rashly, and again, I apologize for that) called out to him. It was uncalled for to involve another customer, yes, but we weren't lying in wait to heckle all his business away.

If this is how he handles everyone who comes in with a valid complaint or wanting documentation of the services agreed upon, I wonder how he deals with...

The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, both of the employees I interacted with seemed like swell people; however, the actual repair experience and communication is where the problems arose. They initially set an appointment for me to replace my iPhone XR’s screen on the 13th at noon through their Facebook page, yet when I arrived on the day I was told that they didn’t have any of the screens in stock. So why confirm an appointment? It should have been reserved when the appointment was set. I live around 30 miles away, that’s an hour plus round trip. I also waited for hours in the area for them to call because I was told the shipment would arrive by 4pm that afternoon. No call. So that was a not insubstantial part of my day wasted.

Finally today I was able to reserve another time and get the screen repaired, which it was. But again come the “buts.” The bottom of the screen was not properly adhered to the base of the phone, and as a result juts out noticeably. I was told applying pressure would allow the adhesive to set, but after being firmly clamped for many hours the result is still the same. There are various scuffs around the metal chassis that weren’t present before it was dropped off. And now the Tap to Wake function (which is toggled on in the settings) isn’t working either.

It’s entirely possible that my experience was an anomaly. After all, The reason I decided to take my business here was because I’d heard such glowing praise from friends and family. It’s a shame I couldn’t reciprocate that positivity. I hope they will work with me to get the job done right, but as for any future servicing, I’ll just be going with Apple tech support as I don’t feel like getting burned twice.

PS: praise where it’s due: I arrived after the shop had closed to pick up my device and the gentleman I ran into was very accommodating and I very much appreciate him taking extra time out of his day to return the...

I have a 3060 graphics card. The gpu fan stopped working. It twitched back and forth inevitably making my gpu get pretty hot. It would still spin while holding the fan up with my finger tip ever so slightly. So that tells me the bearings are fine in the fan motor. I’m not even the “tech guy”. I called them asking them if they could fix that fan so I wouldn’t have to send my card out to Nividia/hp for probably a long time and who knows at what cost. We all know blatantly corporate returns can take a long time and my computer would then be down for weeks or potentially months (over a fan)! When I called them and explained this issue to them. They replied with “well use the warranty it should have” and then virtually hung up on me. So once again I was in the dark. So I took the gpu off and took the fan apart myself without even voiding any warranty of the graphics card. Totaling 5 screws, 4 electrical plug components, a sticker, and a small piece of wire to wrap around the fan shaft after compressing it. Why couldn’t they do this??? Geek squad in selinsgrove refers these guys, hand out their business cards to THEIR customers and they won’t even fix a fan????? Doesn’t make any sense to me. Down right ridiculous and lazy!!! I feel like these guys arnt about the best interest of our local community. Their mission statement on their site is totally un true as well by these actions. They didn’t go above and beyond at all not even close. If I didn’t fix this problem myself since they turned me away this would have costed me HUNDREDS or potentially THOUSANDS of dollars and weeks of my couple thousand dollar computer rig being shut down. Not to mention all of the man hours I already put into the issue. With no help from them I got the very very very simple problem fixed. Idk how you can call yourself a tech guy and not even be willing to fix someone’s fan. Come on...
