Marvin's — Local services in Selma

How do I put -5 stars. This store is the worst hardware store I have ever been in hands down. For a chain store you would think they would have more inventory on the shelf then they do the local hardware stores carry more stuff or more helpful then employees at the store. You would think you could go to a hardware store and buy a socket set not at this store you would think you could find the parts to do some simple half inch plumbing and black iron ore in galvanized pipe not at the store you would think you could buy a conduit Bender if you sell conduit can't buy one of those either after 15 separate trips to the store on every trip I have left not being able to complete simple projects no longer will I ever come back to the store and I highly recommend you don't either you will find everything you need at the other local hardware stores you can find more of a selection at Walmart then you can find at this store and you'll definitely pay a better price if you can't get it at one of the local stores it's well worth your time and money and frustration to go elsewhere even if you have to drive to Montgomery Alabama. just check out my pictures I posted of all the empty spaces on the shells their answer they were doing inventory so you quit stalking to make your life easier so that you can do inventory I don't think so I don't know of another store that does it that way. It seems like every time I go to Marvins, they find a way to be irritating. Today I saved myself the trip and was hung up on twice in under a minute. Yes, they have caller ID and yes, I have an out of area phone #. My insult was to tell a lady in wood products her answer was ambiguous and attempt to ask for a clarification. Then I spoke to a team leader (Thomas) who did not comprehend a simple question (either) and insisted discussing something with me something which had nothing to do with my question! So I asked to speak to the Store Manager (Missy Holmes). 3 hours passed and I had to call her back because she was too busy to call me.... but found the time to speak right exactly when I called. Why should the employees care if they upset customers if the manager doesn't care? I always make annoyed customers wait 3 hours before I show them I care don't you? Being new to the Selma Alabama area and only knowing about Marvin’s. I was purchasing some plumbing pieces. Two of the small fittings were not priced. At the cash register were two young ladies. They refused to check the price on the items and told me to take a photo of the sku. You know how frustrating plumbing can be. This was the straw on the camels back for me. I’m thinking these folks are being paid as a customer service representative and working at the register. If I had not needed the parts I’d have walked out. I have since returned to this store and it’s the same situation. Lots of socializing between the girls at the registers and a very little assistance for the customers. Only go if you really need...
