Update 3: it’s now October 2023, the store got a brand new print station which they have unplugged and printed sign that says ‘not working.’ Update 2: it’s now May, and their printer has been down since at least January. If you need to print anything, don’t go to this UPS. They advertise services that they have no ability to provide (doesn’t take 6 months to repair a printer; Jocelyn doesn’t know how to print so I’m guessing it’s easier to have a ‘non-working’ printer)
Update: Went back again bc it’s convenient location, but was rudely told my Jocelyn the printing is down, when I asked if I could change my drop off location to another site with printing, she said to just pick another store. Went all the way to southington to be told that no, she lied. I have to send the package through the seymour store. Jocelyn has an attitude and screams at customers, this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with her/ the younger employee was prepared to assist me, and offered an alternative. She rudely told him to shut up, and no, they couldn’t. When I called to ask why I was told I could go to another UPD store, she insisted I could. This place only survives bc it’s the most convenient location in seymour. It’s worth it to drive to Shelton to avoid Jocelyn.
you need to send a package, great location. However, if you want to use any of their printing or faxing services, avoid the store. Jocelyn (employee 182075) doesn’t quite understand how to print documents without using the print screen feature (so good luck if you want to print a series of documents). So you get stuck with one extra page, which is nearly blank, or your document gets cut off. Either way, expect to be charged for anything THEY print, even if it’s not printed properly (or at all).
Jocelyn will quote you a number, then charge something completely different (9 vs 36 page difference). When I pointed this out to her, she yelled that the error was in my favor and I should just shut up and leave. So that’s exactly what I did. I used this store regularly, but I’d rather drive 20 mins than have to deal with the complete lack of customer service (or service at all) at UPS Seymour. I’ll include a photo of my one page document and how...
Read moreThis location is definitely NOT handicap/disabled friendly. There are ZERO handicap parking spots (there isn't a single handicap parking spot in the whole lot) There isn't a ramp or even a stop sign with a crosswalk so that people who are USING mobility assistance (whether by walker or wheelchair) can access the closest access point (which is literally 2 stores down from the UPS store.
If the fact that getting into this store was hard enough... The employee was rather rude and they didn't need to be. Maybe they were having a bad day ...but it's not right to be nasty/rude because I was flustered and confused my items.
Honestly the lack of handicap accessibility makes me wish I could give ZERO stars. If you're disabled and need to use any mobility aids DO NOT USE THIS STORE!!! I'm sure there are other locations that are...
Read moreWent in today and asked the older gentleman behind the counter if I emailed a pre-paid shipping label to the store, if they would be able to print it. I was informed that they couldn't since the "business computer was down" (the one off to the side for the public to use) as they clicked away on the computer behind the counter. As I walked out they advised I should "try the library", which seems odd as UPS is a company that advertises printing services and provides an email address at the counter to send emails to the store to..not sure what someone would email them other than a shipping label or something that needs to be printed, but off I go to a different UPS franchise store where they can do what they advertise...
