The only reason this place has a 4.5 star rating is because the good ratings appear to be before the restaurant was sold to the current owners.
The atmosphere of this establishment is all over the place. First walking in it looks a little cute but the more you look the more out of place things start to look. The blaring 80s heavy metal and pinball machines seem like a nearly-divorced dad’s midlife crisis was to open a restaurant play place since his wife doesn’t let him have a man cave.
The service was awful, bartender seemed annoyed to greet us and when asked about beers on tap she pointed to a sign across the restaurant that I had to get up and walk over to because she couldn’t be bothered to list of like 5 beers? Both she and our server had no idea what was going on any time a question was asked and basically ignored us and chatted amongst themselves until we had to ask for service. I asked what the house sauce was that was listed on nearly every burger and she told me it was just a mayo, which was not true she just didn’t know.
When food came we had to get up and ask for silverware and napkins, no one checked in on us the entire time and anything we needed we had to get up to ask for it. Then when it came time to pay the auto prompt for tip was audaciously set to 25%, that’s typically what I would tip under normal circumstances but the service here was so bad there was no way that was justified.
Seemed like the owners and family were there having dinner and didn’t seem phased by their servers having lack of serving their customers. For 2 burgers (1 with a small side of fries), an app, and 2 beers it was about $85 which is outrageous for how bland and unremarkable the dishes were. Basically a...
Read moreCame here yesterday late morning for lunch and beer. The atmosphere, music and outdoor patio are amazing and fun. The place is spacious, clean and inviting.
Amber the bartender was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. She knows the food and beer menu very well. For lunch I got the Empanada de Res- ground beef, green peppers and onions. Delicious and made to order. The best empanadas I’ve had anywhere! Love the spicy aioli to dip these empanadas. $13.00 for three empanadas is a great deal!
The beers are brewed well and they have something for everyone. I tried all eight of their beers and they were very good. My favorite was the milk stout- smokey, creamy and a bit sweet. Not many breweries make milk stouts like this and let me tell you it was delicious!
I will definitely come back and try more beers and those empanadas. I spent over $40.00 and it was worth every penny. A friend of mine who works in the area and is a bartender at another brewery recommended this place and wow great recommendation.
I too highly recommend this place. Come for the beer, the empanadas and the service, and the music! Tip the bartender well-...
Read moreMidnight Owl offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere, perfect for gathering with friends or unwinding after a long day. The staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall relaxed vibe of the place. With ample seating and two TVs, it’s a great spot to catch up on the game or enjoy some entertainment while enjoying a brew.
Speaking of brews, while Midnight Owl’s beer selection is decent, it doesn’t quite reach the heights of some other microbreweries. The offerings are solid but lack the wow factor that would make them stand out in a crowded market. However, for those looking for a straightforward beer experience, they do the job just fine.
One notable aspect of Midnight Owl is their food menu, although we didn’t have a chance to try it during our visit. With a focus on beer-friendly fare, it’s likely worth exploring for those looking to pair their brews with some tasty bites.
Overall, Midnight Owl provides a comfortable and casual setting to enjoy a drink with friends. While the beer may not be the star of the show, the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere make it a worthwhile stop for anyone...
