Coastal Knot Bridal — Local services in Shallotte

Drove from Raleigh NC, to the shalotte location due to the price range of dresses being WAY more adorable. I called the last week of January for an appt, since they only do appointments and I would be coming from 2+hrs away. When I called to book, I also asked to check to see if they had a martine Lee dress, (with the dress number) that I had tried on a different location… Moving forward when I booked the appointment I assumed it was the same address on their website. Well I pulled up to the address I put into Apple Maps, and couldn’t find the store anywhere.. so I called the store to be told they moved locations… and they were located across from the Scotsman on Main Street. I think that would of been important information when I booked or when they confirmed the appointment on Thursday. When I finally get to the “new location” it’s a old dental office.. and you just barley see the dresses in the window when coming by. Almost just drove back home at this point.. but like any girl who drove all that way is gonna try to make it worth it.. once we walk in we’re greeted with “welcome are you Mary, did you finally find us” also asked me if I knew that they had a Raleigh location. KNOWING…and proceeding to tell the stylist it’s extremely out of budget, and how I was set on this certain dress. Then proceeded to ask what I was looking for, and I pull up their instagram to show them the dress, to which I was told it was at the Wilmington Location. She tried to be helpful and look for other dresses, but considering I called before hand, drove all this way.. I left my appointment 10/15 minutes in...

I had a wonderful experience at Coastal Knot Shallotte! I chose it because, according to their website, their dresses were in my price point, whereas the other locations were far above it. Leslie was so friendly and helpful. It is a smaller shop, but that made it easier for me to pick things out that I would like and make decisions. I came in on my own with a quick wedding date (just 3 months away!), and she helped me find my dream dress. I have a terrible time making decisions, but she made the process so easy.

The only downside was that, as a petite bride, it was very difficult to see myself in the dresses as many of the sample sizes do not come in smaller/petite sizing. This means my alterations cost that much more. Also, with such a quick wedding date, I could not order the dress, but had to purchase it from the rack. I am totally fine with this and completely expected it! However, the dress I did purchase, though my dream dress, was missing some beading on the straps that will need to be replaced (again, money in my alterations cost), and the bottom was very obviously dusty (considering it needs to be shortened a lot, though, this wasn't a big deal).

Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Leslie, and this location is quaint. I wish they offered smaller sample sizes for smaller brides and that dresses from the rack had a bit more attention to detail paid to them. But please do not let that deter you from going here! Pricing is reasonable, and the shop is perfect for a more personalized...

I had such a great experience buying my wedding dress at Coastal Knot! The shop is a hidden gem—tucked away with a beautiful, unexpected creek view behind it that made the whole visit feel peaceful and special.

The staff, Karen and Leslie, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and really knew how to pick great dresses. I’m still in shock that I ended up choosing the very first dress I tried on! The hardest part was deciding, because they had so many beautiful options to choose from.

The prices were also fantastic, especially for the quality. I visited a few other stores before finding Coastal Knot, and none of them compared. The dresses here were noticeably better in both design and construction—I just knew my dress was there. I had my dress tailored at my local Coastal Knot location, and that was another great experience. The seamstress was amazing and made sure everything fit perfectly.

Overall, I couldn’t recommend Coastal Knot more highly. From the stunning setting to the amazing selection and thoughtful staff, it was everything I could’ve hoped...
