run as a business more than a community. wanted to believe in sheboygan but the administration has shown time after time that it really doesn’t care. one of the best retirement towns and i’ll give it that, the motif is ‘set it and forget it’ with little real care or effort. this city has so much potential but slowly being broken down with the only goal of more money, more people to make more money, or tax incentives for the city. Including the city purchasing buildings with historic significance and tearing them down. public input is irrelevant and the closed meetings shut the possibility to try. i had interest in alder person but realized they don’t get nearly enough time to research the materiel before voting on it while having to maintain full time jobs as well. thought for committee but saw how mismanaged and personal goal oriented it is. as the administration pulls as much funding as possible to itself and its ‘projects,’ there’s nothing to do but watch the headlines and as they remove anyone in their way. if there was a focus on the people that lived here instead of the tourists and the people that *might move here in the next 40 years, we could build such a beautiful community. although i’m set up here for the long run, i no faith in the city. only in the people that...
