I have waited to write this review hoping that Jennifer Lane would want to make right the situation. Â We hired Jennifer for my son's wedding, signed a contract, did everything we needed to do on our part (communication, payment, clearly stating what we were looking for) I contacted Jennifer the week of the wedding to make sure everything was good and we were ready for her the morning of Thursday May 4th, she told me "no, we will be there Friday that's what we agreed on", and said that I had changed my mind when we decided to not go with her for chair rentals, I told her that is not correct, we never changed the day and I was expecting her to be there on Thursday per our contract, I had other vendors coming after her to do finishing work and Friday was not going to work, she said she would see what she could do, needless to say she did not make Thursday work, she said she would bring 8 people and be there Friday morning, she was there Friday morning, she did charge me for 8 people but there were not 8 people there working. Â I told her if I had broke or changed the contract there would be a monetary penalty but there was nothing for her, we also let her crew use a scissor lift at no cost to erect poles used for draping, if we had not had the lift there I am not sure what she would of done, the ladders they brought would not have worked. Â After the wedding I contacted Jennifer to try and come to an agreement about what should be done, she did not answer but in the mail I received a "gift certificate" from her for future services, the "gift certificate" is nothing, I would of wanted and expected her to do the right thing. Â In summary, when you first meet with Jennifer she is great, very pleasant, but if there is an issue she does not own it, and unfortunately the contract is already paid in full so there are limited options. Never, Never was Thursday discussed as a set up date, and there was more than one place in the contract that said set up would be done and complete on Thursday May 4th 2017, it doesn't matter if they were finished before the wedding, it matters that she did not follow the contract to set up on Thursday, she then tried to put if off that the day changed because of tables and chairs that we did not rent from her, this should of had no impact at all. She is correct that lift was offered IF we were going to do the 2nd room, which once again in the contract we did NOT do the 2nd room so there was NO need to trade the lift, I think its humorous that the ladder was "only" a foot short, it doesn't matter it would NOT of worked. She also is correct that she offered to help with the personal touches, there is a reason they're called personal touches, its because you want to add it where you want it, its no help to have someone do those tasks. She is correct she sent a "gift certificate" BUT it is in the amount of $450, AND after our experience she was safe sending it because we would never use her again. I did not expect anything that was not in the contract, unfortunately when you pay in full PER THE CONTRACT you don't have much recourse. I would love to share with anyone Jennifer and I's text conversation or the contract that clearly shows none of what she stated is true. We had Jennifer Lane Events handle our company holiday party and the feedback from our Co-Founders and employees was all the same; cheaply done, poor food and over all terribly managed. When we initially booked with her what she presented sounded great. As soon as the contact was signed Jennifer Lane Events was extremely difficult to get a hold of, and everything was down hill after that. Jennifer Lane Events took weeks to respond to email, phone calls. Much of what was in our contact wasnât adhered to. The food was not good and presented in a pot luck fashion vs a professional caterer. We had a casino night for our employees (which weâve done before with a high quality company) and we were expecting real casino tables. What showed up were cheap foldable card tables with cheap felt laid over them to slightly resemble a game. Most the dealers didnât understand the games and had to have our employees walk them through things. They didnât show up with enough chips and poorly managed how chips were given out. Weâve reached out to Jennifer Lane Events regarding our concerns and all that comes back is combative comments that claim zero responsibility. Iâm sorry but when a company holiday party of 100 people and 90% of the feedback is poor for this experience, something went wrong.    Read moreI had a 10-year anniversary party on a tight budget at a rooftop restaurant in Downtown Denver. I was only given a portion the rooftop, so I reached out to Jennifer Lane to help make that section feel very exclusive and special. She understood the exact look I was going for, and she created beautiful and dramatic crystal curtain separators that were lit up with led lights. My party in the corner of the rooftop suddenly looked glamorous and very VIP. And she did all this at an amazing price!
But what really stood out was Jenniferâs professionalism and hard work! When I paid her for the room separators, I figured I wouldnât talk to her again until the night of the party. But she was there along the way to help me out. She even contacted the banquet manager of my venue on multiple occasions to make sure the details of my party were perfect, from DJ scheduling to the arrangement of the furniture on the patio! Then when the party started, she was there the whole time to make sure everything went smoothly. Any time I looked around for a server or bartender, Jennifer was there to ask me how she could help me.
