Modified Design Tattoo & Piercing — Local services in Sherman

My husband and I went in after checking out 2 other shops. The first one was totally booked last night, tonight, and tomorrow. They told us to come in tomorrow around 4:30 just for a consult then we'd have to make appointments for a later date. The second one didn't seem at all interested in actually helping us. We went in and asked for a consult thinking he'd sit down to help us come up with an original tattoo specific to us and then give us prices. He just stood at the counter asking us what we wanted. We explained we wanted to sit down and him help us come up with a design or some lyrics and a possibly design to go around it. He didn't even ask us what lyrics and told us something like that would start at $200 each. Again we asked if we could sit down. He pointed out 2 chairs and handed us a book that was full of tattoos that had nothing to do with us or couples at all. So we left there and went to Modified. Jon met us at the counter and asked what we wanted. We told him we wanted a couple's tattoo but didn't know what. He said he wasn't the one on rotation for walk ins but he'd get someone that was. He couldn't find anyone. So he sat down with us. We talked to him about the lyrics and a design. He asked for the lyrics and said for the lyrics it would be about $200 for both and we could come back for a design when we decided on what we wanted. Then he went to work finding the right font and size. He did an amazing job. There was minimal pain and then charged us less than he quoted. It was a great experience and we will go back. I'm glad because it is my husband's 1st tattoo. The rest of the staff was also very kind as well....

This was an amazing experience!!! I have been to many studios throughout my years of collecting piercings and tattoos, but I have never been treated with so much respect and empathy (to which is extremely important to the exchange of energy during a body modification in accordance with sacred practices) that isn’t normally reciprocated in many body mod shops. My piercers name was Nick. He was thorough and willing to answer all questions and concerns I presented, as well as give strong insight to assistance with healing procedures and in depth explanations of how each style of healing impacts different skin types. To which many don’t actually know. He pierced my septum, nostril and was even willing to take on my high nostrils. I am in awe to how my piercings have come out. Nick walked me through all options when we began my unsure request together and Nick didn’t disappoint even slightly when I gave him full reign over decorating my facial anatomy. I will continue to see Nick no matter where his experiences take him because his passion radiates with how he expresses a deep connection to his canvases relating as much as possible to show you are in good caring hands with him (Nick) as your piercer. I’d give this experience a 20 on a scale of 1-10 and did not feel rushed at any point while Nick took his time and made sure I felt 110% comfortable with all placements of my piercings. The shops EXTREAMLY comfortable, clean, & friendly!! You have got to go!! I drive all of the way from the south west side of Dallas to go get my tattoos from them. Sean is the artist I use! He is pretty bad ass, as a tattoo artist as well as human in general! I’ve seen the other guys & girls work and it’s sick desirable work also, Ben has a really cool signature style that I’m intrigued by, maybe one day I’ll get a piece by him(fingers crossed, maybe at the next tattoo convention), the faces of women he does is killer! Savannah does some really cute work, she’s a very nice person and if she’s not busy and checks out your work her voice is cute it takes your mind off of the pain you might be expirancing! The piercer (😓I keep forgetting her name) is awesome, a couple of years ago I needed a piercing changed out her knowlage of the equipment she uses and adivce is the best I’ve ever gotten from a piercer! The jewelry she changed out for me felt so much more comfortable and got rid of the redness that I constantly had around the piercing. I can NOT wait to go back!!!
