Midway Mall — Local services in Sherman

Went to Texoma Trade Days, omg yall what this Lady has done inside is incredible! She's found all the best vendors from the top shows around and got them all in her new space. I am so impressed by the layout, the selection, the location!! Every vendor has cool stuff, different stuff in each from food to fragiles, weapons to watches! There's Something for everyone here! It's the 3rd weekend in the month I think, and I found it twice now! It's definitely in my new circle of monthly visits! Thank you for this cool new venue! Update may 18 2025. Caught another Amazing show! They have a bathroom attendant who keeps it immaculate! I'm adding pix of the places I bought from but yall, every single booth has taken time and efforts to make them so pleasing to the eyes and easy to shop from! Wanda and Dylan have rare vintage clothes that will blow your mind, the sizes and brands selection will have you treasure hunting🥰 I can't believe how wonderful it is inside, absolutely my new fave spot! The homemade foods are just, wow, I think Johnnys Cakes have the cutest ideas and flavor combos! They've had different flavors every time I've gone now and they take requests and just blew my mind with their creativity!! I'm telling you, you'll need the weekend to be able to spend time In each booth! I drive an hour and a half just to see what the vendors do...

I've a bunch of kids close in age so the idea of going anywhere with all of them is something that demands a moment of self collection. "I'm outnumbered but I can wrangle them just fine" is the phrase that helps me get going. This place seems a bit deserted, the play space small but put in a vacant carpeted well lighted store right across from bath and body works. It's big enough so they can run and even though it's sparse it's clean. It's definitely seen better days with bigger crowds but having the freedom of being able to let them run around me while we walk the large corridors inside the mall, without a huge crush of folks, is priceless. I'd say it's a great alternative to outside play if the weather is gross and you're facing a full mutiny just mentioning staying in. No food allowed in the play area but there's bench seating and trash receptacles right outside so a picnic lunch or snack is totally doable. There are 2 stores left. Burlington and Mish Mash which is like a racist five and below. Jump n land even left! It's sooo cold in winter! Most halls are completely empty. They lied too, the movie theatre isn't coming back. They took out all chairs and tables so no one could sit and loiter. Basically just stay in Dillards and don't come out. You can't even enter through Dillard's. The only unlocked entrance is by Jump n Land. Dillard's built a wall between themselves and the mall. But if you are fascinated by abandoned places and dead malls and backrooms, go explore.
