I am an event planner and a relative of the bride who together we obtained this venue. We had started preparing for a June 18th wedding one year in advance. We paid for June 17, 2022 (to decorate) and June 18, 2022 (wedding). However, on June 17 while decorating, with only 7 people in the building it began to get extremely hot. We informed Barbara that it was extremely hot, she told us, that we needed to keep the door closed to that long hallway, do not block vents, and to keep doors closed. In addition, she informed us that we could bring in fans. She did look at or attempt to make adjustments to the thermostat at this time. The day of the wedding was absolutely horrible. The attendant made it to the venue about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. The wedding assistant was allowed in. She observed that it was unbearably hot! She then went to the kitchen, turned on a fan for the caterer. There are 3 thermostat in this venue and all but one the one in the banquet room was turned down (set at 68). The only reason it wasn’t turned down was b/c it was locked and the attendant never adjusted it. My brides wedding day was ruined, she can’t get those memories back. Her hair lost body, dress was drenched in sweat, 4 tier cake started melting and sliding down due to the temperature in the room. She lost her wedding party at the reception and lastly she could not take that famous balcony photo or her robe photo. In looking at some of the pictures one could say it was beautiful. However, you haven’t seen the ones that showed a different story. We filed a complaint with Darren Austin, Director and he blamed everything on Mother Nature. He stated “unfortunately it was a hot day and they had the ac checked and it is working properly. Therefore, they would not be able to refund any or all of my brides money”. I said thank you, and that we would be filing a small claims or civil suit soon. I do not recommend this venue for any event in the summer months! As it cannot adequately cool...
Read moreI just called up to the greens just to ask a curious question. I spoke to Dalton who obviously woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I was just politely asking to fish the pond on the golf course because I have heard there are some pretty big fish in there. After asking I was very respectful and I said ok so no fishing. Dalton proceeded to get disrespectful with me and tell me, “one last time, NO FISHING” This is when I got a little irritated and I told him, “there is no need to get pissed off with me over me being respectful and asking a polite question” which most kids my age wouldnt even call to ask. they would just get up and go fish that pond. I then called Dalton out for being disrespectful to me and he claims “I wasn’t being dispectful” this course is definitely a i’m better than you course. Dalton should for sure get a stern...
Read moreI don't recommend booking their banquet hall for events. What they fail to tell you when you pay is although you're renting the banquet space, the parking lot is still open and completely crowded with vehicles of the people playing golf. It was mind blowing to me that they failed to leave out this very important detail, as i would not have booked this venue for 97 guests knowing there wouldn't be anywhere for them to park. On the day of my event (Saturday), the nonchalant staff recommended that my guest park across the street and walk to the venue. Kiehl is a very, very busy street, so this recommendation was ridiculous and outrageous. If you're expecting a large crowd, this is definitely something to consider before signing a contract and giving them a check. They will...
