Part 1 All they care about was manipulating me into an expensive New car I didn’t want. I believe those cheap used cars are bait. Denzel, David, Justin are liars. Denzel told me if I can't get a car here I can't it anywhere. SO HOW did I go to Toyota Newbold, a minute away and I now have a 2020 great car with 19% interest at, new bank (10% less interest then Nissan). Contrary to Denzel’s lies he told me everyone declined me but “Exeter” and if I didn’t get the NEW Sentra I’d get nothing because all the dealers use the same banks. It all started when He told me I wasn't approved for what I wanted, their $16K… 62,000 mile 2020 pathfinder with 3K down. So I asked if I could do 6K down instead, Denzel spoke with Justin and informs me Justin wouldn't run it! I should have left then! So I said 10k down! Denzel came back and instead of them running my 10k for approval, I was pressured to buy a new Sentra. He tells me I’m gambling and Exeter will decline me for the Sentra also if they decline the Pathfinder. He spoke about building credit with the Sentra and I could refinance and trade in. Denzel painted a picture that i’d have equity since i planned to make extra payments (but I estimated later on Kelly blue book this was false they knew, I drive 10k miles a month). So I’d be stuck with a car note longer and paid for a Sentra I never wanted. He lied and said other dealers were shopping my credit and the way structured it is why I had no options! sales tactic. Because I had only did a pre approval 2 days prior at a Honda dealership but turns out my Equifax and Experian were accidentally locked so how could all the banks TRULY have declined me? 3 hours after i settled on the Sentra I still didn’t know my car note. Denzel makes it seem like some body was supposed to tell me and makes up an excuse that my folder is on David’s desk, As if he couldn’t go get it! In hindsight, they wanted me to sit oblivious there 5 additional hours, not knowing that my car note would be $718, Because I would’ve been left! One minute before meeting David I find out it’s $718 a month it’s midnight and I’m option-less. I didn’t even have time to look at the full paper which has the principal because David came and took it immediately. They will get you to sign that unexplained car note paper because they want you to think it’s binding (Toyota didn’t have me sign it). It is not binding! I then went into David’s office and he breezes over all the rest of the paperwork! I then backtrack mid process and tell him that $718 is too high I can’t do that and what can we do to get it down? He lies and says nothing, He tells me , “the time to go over the car note was hours ago and it’s too late” like it’s my fault. I then informed him I literally just found out a couple minutes ago. I told him I don’t want anything extra, I don’t need the ceramic stuff or tire protection he lied and said it’s only the car note!!! I say I wanna see what exactly is in my principal, he wouldn’t show me! (Toyota did!). He says it’s just a car note! So I leave and I say I’m gonna think about it. David finally gives in and says he took off the warranty off and is at 668. That’s all that he could...
Read moreThis place barely deserves the one star I have to give it to leave this review. I bought a car in Nov. of 2024 and just got all the money back I should have never had taken from me on Feb. 14. I spent over 2 months hoping and praying my $2,329 would get back to me. When I went in to buy the car, Kat Stover (finance) showed me a piece of paper with all the extended warranty options. I was told, "Let me know if you would like this to start now or in 3 months" I was taken back because they, combined, added almost $200 to my monthly. I mentioned my family is full of mechanically inclined people so I didn't think I needed ANY of these. She then took the paper back and crossed some out, said I didn't need those, while circling some saying I should probably have these. She then said without these couple but with these 3, IT WILL ONLY ADD $4 A MONTH to my payment. I thought for $4 why the heck not. I agreed to what I thought was going to cost me an extra $4 a month. After getting my breakdown back and doing the math, it added $32ish a month. I called them in the same week I bought my car asking to have these taken off. I was told I would need to make the 45 min drive, one way, back up there to sign papers to break the contracts. Kat's attitude when I returned was awful. Super short, dismissive, and backhanded. A huge displeasure! She told me it would take 3-4 weeks for these three payments to be refunded to my leinholder. I called them the same day I went up there for a copy of the papers I signed, wasn't sent them. I called a week after that asking for the same papers, never got them. I did get 2/3 payments at the very end of the 3-4 week timeframe I was given. I called 5 days after getting the second payment saying I had not received the 3rd, was told to call back in a week if it still hadn't hit. In that phone call, I was rudely cut off when trying to explain the nature of me calling, to be told the money wouldn't hit my personal checking account....DUH!! Justin, who told me this, also said me 11 days later that he was going to reach out to accounting to check on my money and then call me back....was never called back. It took me, or what I think it took, was me asking for corporate's number. They don't have a corporate... I was told by Erica my situation would be sent up to the manager Jason and he would be reaching out. Guess what....I was the one reaching out yet again. I was then connected with Dave who told me that the payment I was waiting on was actually a non-refundable ceramic coating charge. I told him I said no to that 3 TIMES!!!!! Good thing I knew what I was talking about because when I read him the paper copy breakdown I was given the day of purchasing my car that it said "Tire and Wheel" he said "Ohhhhhhh" Anyway I got all my money after making 7 phone calls and waiting 2+ months to finally be set to turn around and refinance because I was stuck with a 17.4% interest rate. To sum this all up, know EVERYTHING about buying a car or DO NOT...
Read morePart 2. David assures me multiple times the warranty was removed! Denzel, the handler I trusted also assured me the warranty is off. David breezes through the paper work and didn’t explain the principal, (Toyota Newbold did, No sales rep and finance manager ever pressured me, they were nice and transparent. Finance manager gave me a copy of what I was approved for and Explained the paper work showed me the EXACT PRINCIPAL. Third rep also tried to trick me into the warranty too though but he actually took it off when I asked, Toyota was a breath of fresh air). NISSAN David plays more games with me and tells me He’s not sure if it will process because the warranty is off of it and I need the warranty in order to get the car with the Exeter, because It was their stipulation! Saturday the next day, I start realizing the manipulation that I see clear now. I realize I have a car warranty with Essurance in Nissan Sentra and more! Denzel lies to me and tells me the warranty is the free manufacturer warranty. I fell for it. (The manufacturer warranty would say, Nissan). Monday morning I realize the Sentra is $27,000 not $25,000 like Denzel told me I called Exeter and they tell me the paperwork has not been processed. And the dealership handles financing and knows all of the approval criteria (so why didn’t they give me a flat answer on the pathfinder with 10K down?) I explained to Exeter the manipulation. I let them know I’ll call with an update. After calling Nissan persistently, I’m transferred to David On the phone And I tell him I want to bring the car back. He says OK that I can. I get there ASAP. When I get there a black heavy set sales rep with glasses tattle tales to Justin. Justin tells me I can’t return it! I stand firm on returning it. He goes to David comes back to me, Justin lies again to me that It’s too late the paperwork has already been processed!!! I tell him I know he’s lying I just spoke to Exeter. He then brings me to the office and ask me what the problem is, I tell him they lied about the purchase price $27K I was told it was gonna be $25K, The paperwork has not been processed, And I am returning this car. Justin tells me OK he he’ll take it. After dealing with Toyota, who is very transparent I realize David gave me a cheaper Warranty package. That’s why it was still high. Don’t get played y’all.. See through the smiling mask. Don’t be rushed. See it in writing. Toyota even showed me my credit scores. It’s the law. Nissan didn’t. If you do get a car from anyone, give them the Internet price it’s cheaper! In sum fell for all their lies and it’s clearer in hind sight. F.Y.I see part 1. They have fake reviews to push negative reviews down. Snacks, pressure, forced extended...
