Really cute little locally-owned Korean grocer. They sell kim chee, many kinds of gochujang, and some very nice crockery. A tiny bit overpriced, IMO, but worth a visit for the friendly staff, well organized products. Oh hey, look! Sheet masks (Dermal brand, from Korea) by the checkout counter! I will be back for sure. UPDATE: They now have even MORE niche kitchenwares and kawaii things for your home! BTS branded things if you are a fan of that band, keychains, plush animals, Totoro mousepads. This really is such a cute little store.

Me encanta este lugar, hay muchísimos productos koreanos. Mucha variedad de ramens y deliciosa comida. Así como muchos artículos para preparar tu ramen. Y compré unos regalitos para mis amigas también de los BTS

I’ve had a disappointing experience at this store. The items are VERY OVERPRICED, unless you need something urgently, I recommend ordering through WEEE. Additionally, many products on the shelves are expired, so be sure to check the dates before purchasing.

The owner lady is also extremely rude and unprofessional. Whenever you ask a question, she responds with immediate sarcasm and cynicism, and becoming offended for no reason. Her behavior is not only dismissive but also insulting. What makes it worse is that she seems to treat fellow Koreans in particular with unnecessary hostility, which I found very strange. It must be some kind of insecurity issue.

I’m usually very friendly and nice to others. I always say “hello,” “thank you,” and “goodbye,” but she completely ignored me to my face. That says a lot about this person, tbh.

Overall, I would not recommend supporting this store, especially with the way customers are treated. There are better options out there, so I’d suggest avoiding it. Especially if you are Korean.

I feel bad for other people who have no idea how much this store is ripping...

Edit: 4 to 5 stars Since my review two years ago, I've been to Lee's plenty of times and the reason I've added the 5th star and keep coming back is due to the QUALITY of the ingredients here. Especially for Korean food, Lee's absolutely has the best options for all your staples and more (trust me, that snack aisle is dangerous!). I often still stop elsewhere for groceries (read: greens), but I get all my kimchi, soon tofu, doenjang/gochujang, kelp, etc. here. The woman who runs the shop is wonderful as well! Always glad to stop in. . . . Okay this place isn't bad, and if you're looking for Korean ingredients specifically this is a better bet than other Asian stores. However if you're looking for Asian groceries go somewhere else. The staff was helpful when I was looking for some ingredients since I didn't know what it looked like. Overall can't complain, especially when it has...

They were so nice AND had what I needed. It was also convenient that they're in walking distance to where I'm currently staying. I really wish I could give them 5 stars, BUT they have a credit card minimum of $10. While that isn't a problem, they either aren't accepting cash or don't accept cash. I assumed it was pandemic related, which is fine except that they didn't lower their credit card minimum.

This meant I was forced to buy something that I don't want or need. Basically I threw away $5 because of greed. I realize there are credit card fees, but I bought a $5 sauce. Considering $5 is the minimum for most businesses usually set for their credit cards, I found the experience unreasonable. Now I'll have to go out of my way for what I need. If what you're buying isn't over $10, then...
