I would like to give a huge shout out to Ace Hardware of Show Low. I will be honest, I normally go to the big box stores. Why? No idea - the Ace store is very close to my house. Today I needed something small so I figured Iāll go there quickly and get what I needed. I was greeted at the door. The associate at the front door asked what I was looking for, I explained and pointed me in the right direction. I wasnāt in the isle but just a minute or two before another associate asked me if I needed help, he helped me find what I needed. I walked to another department, and the yet another representative asked me if I needed assistance⦠I thought nope I got this as I thought I could find what I needed. Then another associate saw the lost look on my face and helped me find what I needed. This guy introduced himself and asked my name. Then he referred to me by name during the rest of the conversation. Finally, I was checked out by an actual cashier!! As I was walking to my vehicle Tom, the associate that asked my name was walking across the parking lot to the outdoor area. He said āthanks for stopping by our store today, Anna. Hope you have a good rest of your dayā.
Thank you Ace Hardware...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVERY LITTLE to NONE AT ALL trade experience. I am a contractor on this mountain and shop at all the hardware stores in the white mountain area. Pinetop ace is friendly and as helpful as they can be. Same with Heber. I have had countless bad experiences with this location (show low). Everything from wrong orders in the paint department to managers (more than one of them) pursuing/initiating arguments and fights with me. Most of them, especially the ones that have been there for a while, operate with a sense of superiority that makes you feel that they are better than or too good for you. Not to say that I havenāt had a few good experiences but they are severely outweighed out by the bad. And I know for a fact the many other contractors that spend their businesses money here feel the same way. Iām not usually a difficult person and love to interact with people as I move throughout my day, but I have learned to dread going into this location. Show low ace hardware needs a complete restructuring in my opinion. I donāt have any of the problems that I have there at any other hardware stores on this mountain. If you made it this far⦠sorry for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the second time I bought wood stove supplies and both times the clerk was rude. A simple question of exterior and interior chimney pipes was met with a rude retort. I choose the word retort because of the clerk's inability to display proper customer service by providing a welcoming explanation. Then an elder Native American man,who was obviously hard of hearing, was also provided with rude answers when inquiring on where to find camping stoves. The exterior sign does read "stoves"! If this is a personal reflection of the clerk's attitude towards Native Americans I would transfer him to another department. The majority of the reservation resident's source of heat is provided by wood burning stoves which makes it inevitable he will have customers from the reservation. Ace has more of a selection of wood stoves and accessories than Lowe's and Home Depot but the customer service is very...
