Louisiana Coin and Jewelry — Local services in Shreveport

I highly recommend this store and have been shopping regularily at Louisiana Coin and Jewelry for many years. I have never had a complaint..not even once and the staff has consistently bent over backwards without fail in all areas of sales and service from purchases for myself to purchases of gifts for others including very low pressure layaways..as long as I pay something regularly...there is no pressure to hurry up and get the layaway out as other stores do. If my gifts are not quite to the liking of choosy family members, they readily accept exchanges and returns and will work hard so my gifts match the desires and finicky tastes of my family members who are tough to shop for. Their watch collection is beautiful and competes well with most of the larger jewelry shops in town on affordability and beauty. I have been well satisfied with their jewelry repairs as well. They have a wonderful estate jewelery collection with many beautiful and unique pieces at very competitive prices. I have had lots of complements on jewelry that I have purchased on the design and beauty of even the simplest pieces. Their coin purchasing service is very good and the staff is highly knowledgeable, polite and friendly and will answer my many questions with honesty and patience. I ask lots of questions. I would venture to say that this store competes well in all areas of sales and service with many of the larger jewelry stores in town. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this...

The staff is nice, but it is really more of a jewelry store than a coin shop. My review is based on being a person looking for a local coins store (LCS). The selection of coins is pretty small and the selection of bullion is tiny. Especially compared to any other LCS I have visited. The prices are also a bit high. Expect to pay about 10% more than you would online or possibly at other brick and mortar shops.

But the thing about a good LCS is garnering a relationship with the staff/proprietor. I have not been able to do that at this shop, despite multiple visits. As such, I rarely stop in anymore.
