Last Friday around noon, we, my daughter, my 17 year old granddaughter, and myself enter you store...we giggling and laughing and joking with my granddaughter...teasing her about setting off metal detectors at the airport with her piercings..we were at the lick case for the earings...when your clerk piped up and said I have plenty of piercing and I've never set it off...we ignored her...my granddaughter wanted a large gauge...so I was kidding her about it and said they stink and the navy won't let you have them and your clerk slammed them for on the counter and said them don't go into the Navy.. I told my daughter I wasleaving before I said something that would embarrass them...she clerk continues on to where my daughter yelled just stop...donr you ever talk to us like that again...another girl was standing that had followed us over to Mauris store...How dare your clerk say that to us...this is a child wanting to make a career in our honorable armed forces...I tried to get them to return or not to purchase the items you clerk was very confrontational...make us feel insecure ...we will...

Not sure how it is that I have not reviewed this local Hot Topic. The selection of novelty products have always been centered around the latest shows, movies and trends out at the time. The past year or two I have noticed a reduction of products in the store physically. I still prefer certain things physically versus online shopping. Nothing like being able to feel the products and knowing for sure if this or that will fit. Staff has always been very nice to interact with. If you they do not have your size, they can always order it and shipping to the store itself is free. This mall is rather sad as far as shopping options, so it is nice that a major store such as this is still there for us to go...

Be careful here. After being a weekly customer for four years I was asked by the manager about an alleged incident where I threatened and employee saying “I’m wearing steel toe boots and want to use them on you”. I told her it was false and that I didn’t even own a pair of steel toe boots and said I wanted corporates number and she said it was just between her and the employee and her and me and did not give me the number. I later found out from a security guard at the mall that they were notified of it. These types of allegations are definitely not okay. I will never shop at this store again. Be careful if you choose...
