It was my husband and I first time there we we're driving across country from New Jersey to California and I found them from Google search and they were on our route right off of interstate 80 west. Easy find location. I must say it was a great stop, well for our first time it was! What I loved about the restaurant was the old fashioned appeal it has, was clean and super friendly! We received 2 free porkie Tshirts being it was our first time! Excellent customer service and delicious home cooked tasting food! We loved everything about our experience there. We would definitely stop thru again and recommend you do too! We ordered deluxe cheese burgers which came with lettuce tomatoes onion mustard & mayo and we added bacon, it was grilled fresh patty and the bun was so fresh. We also ordered a half order of biscuits&gravy omg they were like your grandmother's recipe! So much flavor and the gravy was so fresh and taste homemade. The biscuits were perfect & fluffy, honestly the best I ever had! For dessert we ordered French toast and they were to die for! Wow just like my mom's it felt like! I love this place. 5 stars from us we loved it! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Thank yous for a great visit at porkie hope to see you again in the near future!...
Read moreLet me start by saying i travel the U.S.A. for work and I have frequented this restraunt many times over the years and it is a great restraunt with great food but the workers are what make this place unique .... i have yet to meet a rude worker in the last 15 years of coming here .... i have been greeted with a smile and usually jokes and such as i am waiting for my food .... even the manager DAMIEN is great .... hes a character but always smiling with the rest of the crew and always pitching in where he can ....when i stop in the quad cities this is always my 1st stop.... now to the food ..... you have to try the grandaddy tenderloin..(ask for an extra bun and to have it cut in half it will feed 2 adults) .... the shrimp dinner here is what my daughter normally gets and i tend to steal a peice or two ..... it is always cooked to perfection never burnt or soaked with fryer grease ... overall the food is great and the atmosphere is good vibes and its a great small town eatery they have been around as long as i can remember and somehow as the generations come and go they always seem to find great smiling people to work here ..... you wont be disappionted if u...
Read moreLocal hamburger joint that has been around forever. Stadium pricing meaning tax is already included. Pretty nice these days to pay what you see. Burgers and fries are pretty decent, but the giant tenderloin sets them apart from every other place. The shakes are awesome. My family asks to visit Porkies just for the shakes. They are classic shakes without a bunch of candy in them, but the employees will definitely mix the flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and banana if you ask. My wife adores the strawberry banana. If you happen by at breakfast time, they have great pancakes, but don't miss my personal favorite; biscuits and gravy. Thick, meaty gravy with soft biscuits. Even half an order is pretty filling. I only didn't give five stars because the burgers themselves aren't particularly different than most other places and the interior, while clean, is...
