Since march 15th i have been charged 11 times.......!!!!!! annual fee less then 2 months from signing up towel fee for the month late fee for towels and monthly fee and another maintenance fee all for a 9.95 sign up?????????beware misc. fees debited from your account run far away from these guys!!! they say they have a tracker for towels on your account i told them i put the towels in the drop off bin but they charge you misc. fees saying you didn't and they have a towel tracking service. i drop off my towel every time i use it!!!
i spoke with mike the general manager of the club today at 10:30am i know how important as a business owner that sends multiple referrals to this club how important customer service is. mike told me i was a liar and they somehow track towels in a system and their is nothing i could do about it he told me their is no one i could talk to which is a lie because i signed up with the owner. and the tracker service is another company which i cannot talk to either?????!!!!!!!! crooks!!!!!!!!!! he said no phone number is available. mike told me he could not give me the owners information.
i am disgusted with the level of professionalism in this place they do not care about local customers nor try and understand a default in their system. the customer is always right!!! i will start referring all my employees to 24 hour fitness at least john the club manager over their listens to his customers.
i own a moving company in simi valley and i send anywhere from 5 to 15 new hires to crunch daily i will not only be canceling my membership but i will definitely be sharing my experience with everyone i know in simi in my network meetings and across the board.
simi valley is a very small place and no business in simi stays afloat without good customer service!!! this is a great community and does not need to have crooks like crunch fitness along to be unsettling to local customers.
I never write reviews but this is my home town and no one deserves this kind of treatment.
Do yourself a favor and go to 24 hour fitness i have a membership with them also they don't charge misc fees i get debited the same fees...
Read moreI am writing to share a very disappointing experience I had with Cory, the fitness manager, on my very first day at your facility.
I came in looking for the most affordable training option and clearly stated that to him. Instead of being upfront about all available choices, Cory pressured me into a $150 personal training package that I never asked for. He did not mention the $65 package â which I later discovered the same day. When I told him I needed time to think about it, he responded that âthereâs nothing to think about,â which made me feel pressured and uncomfortable.
When I confronted him about not wanting to be locked into the $150 contract, both he and another staff member (TJ) heard me express my concerns. Cory continued to push the $150 option as âthe best dealâ even though I made it clear it wasnât fair. Eventually, he assured me that the $150 charge would not go through, that it would be refunded, and that Iâd be switched to the $65 package. Unfortunately, this turned out to be false â I was charged the $150 anyway.
To make matters worse, I only did one short 30-minute session before canceling, so I never even received the full service. When I followed up, Cory was dismissive, unprofessional, and not understanding of the situation.
This is not how new members should be treated. Instead of being transparent and supportive, I felt misled and taken advantage of. Because of this incident, I no longer feel comfortable coming to the gym. I understand sales are part of the role, but misleading members and withholding information about pricing is unacceptable.
I strongly recommend that management look into this matter to ensure other members are not treated the same way. At the very least, I expect to be refunded for the $150 charge that I never agreed to in good faith.
Thank you for your time and attention. I hope this issue is...
Read moreI came to this gym only for help learning how to properly lift with a personal trainer. The only part of my experience that felt above a five star yelp review was an individual at the front desk, Brian, who had great interpersonal skills!
On the other hand, there were personnel on the training team that really rubbed me the wrong way. My training session was cut short because the trainer didn't even know I was coming in, and still charged me for the full hour when we started almost 15 minutes late. There was no structure at all within that training, I was just following him while he seemed to be literally playing around with different equipment. Not to mention how he kept aggressively talking about how much he does not like the training manager, CJ. I don't blame him because when I told CJ about this unprofessional training session, CJ straight up just gaslit me into thinking I was just a nervous wreck who was new to the gym. Of course I'm new to the gym and I'm nervous, but he just invalidated how unprofessional and how bad this experience was, especially for the price they charged! I am currently trying to get a refund, I don't even care if they charged me for the first session. They still have yet to fork over the near grand I paid for this waste of a time I spent. They claimed that 'management is looking over the matter.' You would definitely have better luck training anywhere but here.
Update: They literally will not give me my near grand back; stating that I only had 4 days since signing up to cancel and receive a refund (was 9 days). I put in that request one hour right after the training because I knew how terrible the training department is here. I'm gonna contact corporate and hope that I can resolve this issue with them, as well as get...
