Took my kids here after dropping off our sick puppy at the vet, already started the day pretty rough and extremely emotional. I decided a good burger, fries and milkshake should help cheer us up. Walked in to no one at the front desk, waited a few minutes, peeked in to look for someone. No sign of any host/hostess, or greeter of any sort. Finally a young female came to the front and said, “Has someone helped you get?”. I said, “not yet”. Found it a little odd she had no smile on her face, never were we greeted or welcomed. Strange but ok, we were determined to have a great lunch. We were walked to our table, I asked for the restroom so we proceeded there, to wash our hands. In the restroom were two employees fussing with a paper towel roller dispenser, again, not friendly or even paid us any attention. Noticed this but wasn’t too hung up on it, I get it, it’s a strange place to be overly friendly regardless of employee/patron situation. We sat at our table, excited to order bottomless steak fries. We were waited on by a friendly-ish woman, took our order. We were served our food, burgers were good, although Pattie’s were cold. Fries were also cold, not too mention the portion of fries were crazy small. The kids milkshake came in the traditional milkshake glass although it was served to halfway in the glass, strange again right? We were left alone mostly, no one really checked on us, we waved down a server and asked for napkins as the tables do not have napkins readily available. We were handed 3, three whole napkins. Again the staff was cold, unfriendly, not engaged with us at all. We did not feel wanted or welcomed to be honest. When we finally asked for a fry refill, we were served by now a third person, who again, was unfriendly. Set the “basket” of fries, (I kid you not there were a total of 10 fries in the basket), and they were cold. We waited what seemed like forever after we finished our burgers for this refill of fries, and they were cold. So I asked if we could have “fresh hot fries”. Minutes later we were served the same exact basket of fries, the reason I could tell is because I had pinched one of them. They literally microwaved them and gave them back to us. Needless to say our, what was supposed to be enjoyable lunch, was subpar. What a let down. Definitely need to work on food quality and customer service is definitely lacking. Or maybe it’s because we are brown people, we were definitely treated differently to other people around us. Very disappointed. Would NOT recommend to people of color, especially with children. Very sad to have had this experience, especially when we are spending...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I had with a low-mid quality dinner. At first, I was waiting 10min to sit (came by myself), while the restaurant isn't that full, probably lack of staff. And than , the only shining point of this awful restaurant was the waiter. She came really quick and was super friendly. I ordered a gourmet burger without cheese, and she asked how do I like my meat. I asked for medium and the meat came well done. She saw my frustrated facial expression and immediately asked me what is wrong. I showed her the meat that I got. It supposed to be red, but it was pretty much white like a well done cooked burger look like. My side was a sweet potato fries, which was soggy , obviously they have been under fried so she took the entire plate back to get a complete new order. The new plate came with no surprises, same exact type of problem. I wanna know why do you even ask how yo cook the meat if you can't do nothing but well done. And for the fries? Try a little bit more time in the oil, and try maybe fresh oil, it can add to the flavor.
The only good thing about the restaurant was the waiter, she was awesome. I literally tipped her more than my entire bill.
The food is awful, I strongly recommend you all to eat fast food than that. And for the guest relation service, do not comment here, don't waste your time, invest your time to find more staff to make the waiting experience more pleasant than try to give customers compensation. Your food is horrible guys, and you are restaurant. Total experience was 2/5 and that's only because of...
Read moreI I stopped by the newly opened Red Robin in Simi Valley (Simi Town Center area), and I have to say—it was a pleasant surprise. The space is large, beautifully designed, and fresh—a real standout compared to other locations.
I tried the $9.99 all-day burger combo special, which included a double burger with fries and a drink. It was absolutely delicious—tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. Honestly, it felt like a better value than some of the pricier fast-casual options around. The burgers are tasty, filling, and consistently enjoyable.
The service was also excellent—friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. My waitress “KIM” was extremely fast, efficient, and very sincere. She provides excellent service and is truly one of the best waitresses I’ve ever met. Kim is professional, prevalent, and always on top of everything—her friendliness and attentiveness really set the experience apart. Honestly, “KIM” is the reason I’ll keep coming back to this Red Robin. Ask for Kim as your waitress—you will not be disappointed.
They also had a nice, modern menu layout and great font styling (yes, even the small details were thoughtfully done). You could tell they put effort into both the presentation and the overall experience.
If you’re nearby or passing through Simi Valley, this Red Robin is worth checking out—affordable, enjoyable, and surprisingly refreshing for...
