Several yrs ago a refrigerator was purchased through Jay’s Broadway appliance that has been nothing but a nightmare. First, the units manufacture date was different than the purchase date and the Compressor was faulty out of the box. The owner Joe, who we had been a previous customer with for several yrs, was indifferent and in complete denial that he had any fault in this, instead blaming L.G. the manufacture of the refrigerator and referring us back to them. Approximately several weeks after my purchase and alone in my dispute with L.G. A resolve was finally reached. Most recently we had another problem with the refrigerator, thinking the unit was still under warranty we contacted Jay’s Broadway and we’re referred by them to, Yes we can repair service, that charged us over 500.00 dollars and failed to fix the unit correctly. The response from Jay’s owner Joe was again to insist he had no fault and refuse to compel the company referred by him to make any further attempts to fix our refrigerator, instead telling us at this point to call L.G. instead and have them come out and do the repair which coast us an additional 350.00, and was finally fixed right. From someone who has been fortunate enough to have never placed a bad review on any company until recently, Jay’s Broadway appliance is an awful company to deal with from start to finish if you ever have a problem with anything...
Read moreI was a customer for 36 years. We bought a number of appliances and TVs from them all worked fine. We bought a Maytag washing machine over a year ago. It used 80 gallons of water to do a single wash. My water bill increased by 50%. We told them about the problem. We had a repair man check it out and a plumber who they recommended. The plumber said the sensors on the machine were not working properly. We tried to tell them what the plumber said. They would not return our calls or see us in person at the store. If you buy something that has a problem, forget about it. They don't want to hear it. That is how they treat a long term customer. Will never buy anything from them again. Regarding Response from the owner We measured the drainage pipe and it is 8 ft. not 20ft. The plumber they recommended said the washing machine drained out Okay. The sensors on the machine were adjusted once by a repair man, but later the sensors were not working right again and the plumber confirmed that. The owner did NOT stop by a second time to confirm the problem. I also do not recommend buying a Maytag washing machine. I owned them for years. When Whirlpool bought out Maytag, the quality of the machines...
Read moreThis place deserves all the praise. My dishwasher broke earlier in the week, and the cost to repair was similar to a new one, so I decided on a new one. I stopped at Home Depot (I know, shame on me) to find that they do not stock them, and there are a bunch of add on fees that I wasn't interested in paying for. I wanted a new appliance NOW that I could take home and install. Earliest delivery was estimated next week.
Found this on Google, while at Home Depot, at 4:30pm. I saw they closed at 5, so I figured they could at least answer some questions, worst case they could have one by the weekend. Not only did they have several in stock, but the salesman seemed very knowledgeable about the appliances on hand. I told him I really just needed something cheap and now, and this salesman was wheeling out a new unit for me almost right at 5pm.
Once we find our forever home, I'm definitely coming back to this place for my...
