I had an engagement ring custom made purchased for me in the amount of $6500. It did not work out so I had the ring appraised by another jeweler. The jeweler told me the clarity and color is not what was reported and he would give me 700$ and not worth even purchasing on his behalf, that I was better off trying to consign it. Shame on them for ripping people off and claiming more than actual worth.

In response to the owner- unfortunately when it was unknown that you sold it to us I asked Matt (I believe is his name) to appraise it and he appraised it for the same. Providence diamond in Garden City also appraised it for the same.

Walking into this beautiful building I was greeted by with a very warm welcome by Matt! Matt explained that this was a family business started by his father Ephraim 44 years ago who is still working today! The show room is classy but yet very warm you don’t feel out of place ! The jewelry counters & displays are meticulously kept and very easy to look for that perfect gift ! Matt helped me find what I was looking for & asked the assistance of one of his cousins! Together we chose what I thought my wife would enjoy wearing as I listened to their suggestions and loved everything we chose ! They wrapped up my gifts or me in beautiful Gold wrapping paper and placed in. Designer bag ! I have never experienced such wonderful caring treatment in a national chain jewelry store ! They really care about their business & they go out of their way to please their customers! I will always do my my shopping with Doumato Jewelers ! I recommend you do as well ! Happy...

Mostly satisfied with the store. Most recently I brought in a 3 year old Movado watch that stoped working. Apparently unable to diagnose the issue so it was sent to Movado. Movado quoted over $400.00 to repair the watch without a diagnosis. Their business model states that their watches should be fully refurbished every couple of years. When the store rep contacted me with the estimate I was put off due to the cost and not have an actual issue with the watch. The rep said, “if you buy an expensive car you should expect to pay more for repairs”. Really? When I buy an expensive car I don’t expect it to stop running in three years and I expect the store to be qualified to make the repairs. I felt her analogy was a slap in the face.
