I wanted a pendant created as a family heirloom to pass to my daughter, then to her daughter. I gathered ideas and took my thoughts and pictures into the Somerset, Kentucky store. I could not have asked for better customer service than what I got from Tasha and Lexi. Even though it was obvious that I was not a "rich" customer, they spent so much time with me sharing their thoughts and experiences with custom made jewelry orders, in order for me to not just be satisfied with my purchase, but to love it. Everything from the size of the pendant, the size of the rubies and diamonds, the placement and font of the personalization, hidden vs not hidden bail, etc. These 2 ladies thought of everything. They truly seemed excited for me. They kept me informed every step of the way. When the wax mold arrived, they wanted me to examine everything about it before the final product was started. I really can't say enough about how pleasant it was to work with Tasha and Lexi. In a world where good customer service seems to be waning, this was a refreshing experience. I must also give another worker in this store a shout out. His name is Austin. The first time I came in he helped me. I was wanting personalized baby feet birthstone charms. At that time I needed only one, months later I needed 2 more added to my necklace. He very skillfully sketched out what I was wanting my necklace to look like. He verified the placement and my necklace was updated. My last encounter with Austin was a few weeks ago when I had one more pair of baby feet added to my necklace and Austin, once again, was very professional and placed my order without incident. I witnessed an amazing show of kindness that we all could use as a model to go by in our lives. I will not not give all the private details away. I will say that love and compassion is being expressed by employees at this store for humanity by and through the love of Jesus Christ. I am totally impressed and blessed by what i saw. Now i want to also give genuine praise to all the staff for helping me. I am not sure but i think one of the ladies working there name was Glenna. She was so kind and sweet and she asked two other employees to assist me. Taosha came out and helped and questions for me. She was bubbling with kindness. Taosha had a young man named Austin come out and help me and answer all my questions. Austin was totally patient with me and gave wise insight to help me. We walked into the store today to have a watch sized and walked out with a perfectly sized watch, inspected and cleaned ring, and a plan to make many more visits to Kay Jewelers in Somerset! Tracie helped us with the watch and made sure it was sized to my exact liking and even set the time for me! Tasha was a wealth of help and information. While my watch was being sized she offered to clean my ring which I explained was from a different store only to discover it was their sister store! We were so pleased to learn that we can get the biannual inspections done here (instead of driving all the way to Lexington)! She helped explain the parts of my ring that needed repairs and recommended soldering the two rings together. I have never had a more pleasant visit at a jewelry store.
