Consistency at Its Finest: A Steadfast Favorite with Just a Tiny Quibble
When it comes to finding a reliable place to grab a quick meal, consistency is key, and this particular establishment has proven itself to be a dependable choice. I've been a patron here for quite some time, and for the most part, they have consistently delivered fresh and piping hot food, setting the bar high for fast food experiences.
One of the standout qualities of this place is the swift service. From the moment you place your order to the time you receive your meal, the process is impressively expedient. The employees here are not only quick on their feet but also remarkably courteous. Their friendly demeanor has always been a refreshing addition to my visits, making the overall experience that much more enjoyable.
However, no establishment is without its minor hiccups. My only small gripe pertains to the condiment bar. On a few occasions, I've found it to be lacking in options, and there's nothing worse than realizing you're out of your favorite dipping sauce when you're right in the middle of your meal. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's worth mentioning for those who like to customize their orders with various condiments.
On the whole, the maintenance of the lobby area has been quite commendable. It's always pleasant to walk into a clean and well-kept dining space, and this place does a respectable job in that department. The ambiance here is inviting, and I've never had to navigate through a sea of discarded trays or cluttered tables, which is a testament to their commitment to creating a pleasant environment for patrons.
In conclusion, this establishment has earned its place as a go-to choice for a fast and reliable meal. The consistency in providing fresh, hot food is commendable, and the efficient, courteous service is a significant plus. While the condiment bar might occasionally come up short on variety, it's a minor hiccup in an otherwise stellar experience. Moreover, the well-maintained lobby adds to the overall appeal, making this place a worthy stop for a quick and satisfying meal. Read moreI really didn't want to do this, because I am a Popeyes fan, but seriously, this is the worst run Popeyes I have ever been to. Honestly, if your primary product is fried chicken, and I get to your restaurant and you don't have any chicken, there's a problem right?
Well what if it was 4 times in a row? Yep thats right 4 times I have tried to walk in and order the 16 piece dinner meal for my family. And 4 times I have been told they are out of chicken. And the crazy part... when I go in, the parking lot is empty. No one is inside eating, no one is in the drive through.
But you better believe there's two employees sitting outside on the sidewalk Smoking cigrarettes and shooting the breeze. The manager on duty is sitting at a booth on his cell phone eating chicken tenders, and they have no fried chicken.
The highschool kid at the counter tells me they only have 13 pieces total of spicy and mild (combined) and they have been sitting there for 30-45 minutes.(His own words)
He tells me a fresh 16 piece meal will take 15 minutes. I say ok I'll wait. Well little did they know that it was about to get real crazy in that restaurant. Soon after I ordered, a woman walked in and also ordered a big family meal and then several vehicles rolled into the drive through, next thing you know they are 5 orders backlogged and I am still waiting on my food.
It took me almost 30 minutes to get my meal, and I heard them ask for 3 more batches of chicken while I waited for mine. They were parking the cars in the parking lot and asking them to wait.
This is not good service and nothing any close to fast food. They are short staffed, the restaurant is run by Highschool kids that think sitting outside on their cell phones and smoking is working, and the restaurant owner is telling them not to cook chicken until its ordered on purpose to save money.
It also doesn't help that the cost of the 16 piece meal is now almost $50 after taxes. That same meal was $36.00 Just 2 years ago. Ridiculous. Apparently theres a massive Chicken shortage no one is aware of, to go along with all the mysteriously convenient derailed trains that keep occurring all across the...
Read moreMonday evening 5/12/2025 my daughter in law went to pick up food for the family. We were at the hospital because my mother had just been placed in Hospice Care. Once she ordered she had to pull forward to wait (no problem) after waiting 30 minutes (timed) food was brought out but no drinks. The guy bringing the food told her just drive back around for the drinks so she did. Once back at the window my daughter in law ask for an extra cup for the toddler and the guys reply was “why the hell not”. Once food was received at the hospital meals were missing biscuits, a whole meal was missing. My daughter in law called back to the restaurant and explained we were missing food. I went back to pick up missing items. At the drive thru speaker I told them what I was there for, I was told to pull around. The lady opened the window and handed me a bag, didn’t say sorry or anything. I sat in the drive thru went thru the food still no biscuits. The lady kept opening the window and shutting it but not saying anything. I finally explained we were still short biscuits and chicken tenders. She just kept staring at me with a half smile. Finally got biscuits still the lady saying nothing but staring as if I was in the wrong. Another girl approached and said would you like honey with your biscuits and looked at the other lady and said “you just have to be nice to them”. I am very even tempered and never do bad reviews but at this point I had had enough of the bad condescending attitudes. I thanked the girl for saying you have to be nice even though she was being sarcastic. I nor any of my family plan to ever eat at the Somerset PopEyes again. I have a food business myself and I would have fired at least the one lady if not both on the spot if my employees treated my customers this way. Never once did any one say they were sorry for our inconvenience. Still got back to the hospital with missing chicken tenders (part my fought too for missing it when I searched the bag) we didn’t go back for the tenders so they made a profit there. Extremely rude and unprofessional individuals...
