King Buffet — Restaurant in Somerset

This used to be my favorite place to eat but it has went down hill! First impression was the restrooms are nasty and falling apart. They refuse to have any heat on and it is freezing cold in the restaurant. The service was awful, never once was offered a refill and the lady starred at us the whole time making us feel uncomfortable. They make it a point to seperate the adults without and adults with kids. We had our 3 yo with us and we're confined to a small corner with the rest of the folks with kids . My daughter is very polite and nice and wasn't loud or obnoxious like a lot of kids but yet we were starred at like we were doing something wrong. It was so cold we had to wear our coats as if we were eating outdoors . The food was so so, but shortly after we left all of my family had bad diarrhea. No kidding it was bad! Maybe too much msg in the food idk? I ordered Water to drink and so did my wife, obviously pure non filtered water and was charged for a soda.! Either way for now on we will stick to Mexican or a American steak house. Oh and when I mentioned something about the room being so cold the manager came over and got very rude with us. When my wife thanked them as we were walking out we just got a f u look and that's it . Wife also stated there were a large cockroach in the women's restroom. Well I went on a blind date, nephew-like said it was time for me to get my toes wet. Had a very pleasant time, and great food and great atmosphere. The servers was very friendly, lots of choices on all types of appetizers, main courses, and deserts too. Of course this was not my first time eating at this restaurant, although it had been about a year ago that I was last there. And my date was fantastic, very nice gentleman, we are now talking on phone daily and plan to go out again, course I got major risky difficult surgery coming up on my midback soon, so I hope we have opportunity to spend time together again prior to my hospitalization. I would recommend this restaurant to all. Very reasonable prices to. †**† well, date and I didn't end up going out anymore, we did talk on phone for a short while afterwards & visited another time or two, but with his work schedule and demanding life, and the distance between us, it just fizzled out. This was my son's birthday dinner request!

I told our waitress who asked how old he was it's his birthday today. He turned seven. She only smiled and walked away. Happy birthday was not spoken. They didn't gather to sing happy birthday either.

The food... It's never been a delight in my opinion. However it's gotten worse. The chicken pieces have more breading than meat. They should label it as a chicken restaurant because seventy percent is just different flavored chicken.

The steak I had cooked was awful. It's so thin I'd call it beef jerky! I never use steak sauce but I needed it. Very plain tasting even though I had it cooked with veggies.

The desserts are not satisfying. Bananas looked rotten. How do you mess chocolate pudding up? My orange even tasted ruined. I did have to sway some flies away from this area. The cheesecake has so many preservatives it gives a bad texture. I got vanilla ice cream that was good...
