
Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. They did not inform me that I was booking an appointment with a person who was charging significantly more than the price they listed online. The website quoted around $130 and I was charged $220. Normally, my foils take around 2 hours with other salons Iāve gone to, it took 4 1/2 hours here. I came in at 9 am and left at almost 2 pm. The stylist who I think was named Daniela was late for the appointment and spent most of the time talking about her life and, whenever she was talking, she would stop what she was doing and not be doing my hair. There were several times where she was talking and not doing anything to my hair for multiple minutes at a time. After 4 1/2 hours of this, I was so tired that by the time they told me the price, I paid and left because I wanted to get the hell out of there and not make a big deal in front of other customers. I figured I would call to resolve the matter privately. When I called in to discuss the behavior and price, I was told that it was my fault for not asking for a solid price before the service. I was referred to speak to the stylist who gave me attitude when telling me that I was in the wrong here. I am usually an understanding person, but this situation felt very wrong. If a service is listed for a price on a company website, it is not the customerās fault for assuming that the price will be around that much if it is not clearly stated that it will be otherwise. When she broke down the price for me, she stated that it was more expensive because my hair was āso thickā but I was never told during the process that the price would be so drastically affected by my hair type. I was referred to them by a friend who recommended the salon and told me she gets the same thing done and a treatment as well for around $170. She also has much thicker hair than I do. As Iām sitting in the parking lot getting ready to go in at 10:30am I get a phone call. It ended up being the makeup artist letting me know she could not do my makeup because her child wasnāt feeling well. Now Iām a firm believer that our children 100% come first, but to call at the exact time my appointment was scheduled? It would have been more professional to call at a minimum a half hour earlier.
