New Beginnings Bridal Studio — Local services in South Hill

I had the BEST experience at New Beginnings. I live in Austin but was visiting my family over Mother's Day weekend, and my youngest sister suggested taking a look at NBBS after she'd been there with a friend of hers a few weeks earlier. She said the shop was cute, and they appeared to have a good plus size selection. As someone in a larger body, who has worked in bridal--I already knew my bridal size and was prepared for it to be larger than my regular clothes, which doesn't bother me. The challenge is sometimes the selection in store vs. what can be ordered is very different. My experience at NBBS was nothing short of amazing. My mom, sister, niece, and I met with Courtney (SHE IS INCREDIBLE!), and she ushered us into this cute room with 2 differed loveseats and a bridal pedestal and 3 part mirror. I could get dressed, then step out into this area without having anyone else in the shop be present. This was amazing--seriously, every bridal studio should do this. I'd originally emailed about 2 specific dresses, and they had one of them--and the other had just been sold. Courtney had pulled some dresses based on what I wanted and she'd done an excellent job. I narrowed it down to a final 2--and made an appointment to come back after a few hours so we could think over lunch. I called Courtney back within 15 minutes of leaving the shop, explaining that I loved elements from both dresses, and asked if there was a "mash up" of those two? She said yes, and said she'd pull it for my next appointment. When I arrived at 4, I had my crew in tow--plus my iPad for my bridesmaids via Zoom, and I tried on the final 3 dresses. Courtney was a saint. She put me in and out of the dresses multiple times, helped strategize ways to achieve the look I wanted, and found quite possibly the most magical veil I've ever seen. Now I won't say which one I bought...but suffice it to say Courtney was amazing, and I'm a VERY happy bride to be...even in these covid times. I could not have asked for a better experience. The original plan was to shop in Dallas--and I can't imagine that I would've gotten this level of attention to detail and patience on a weekend day in Dallas. It was so special to buy this dress at home with my family present, and so unexpected to buy it this early in the process. I can't emphasize it enough--a great experience, great price point (everything under 3k), and there was a large selection for me to try on even as a plus size woman (I'm a 20/22 in "real" clothes, 24 bridal), and Courtney was so kind, helpful, creative and patient. Let’s take a minute to praise consultant HANNAH ♥️ I went to multiple bridal shops and the experience I had here completely outshined them all. I felt at other stores bridal consultants were easily frustrated when I didn’t like something about the dress I had on and were so quick to write me off. From the second I was greeted by Hannah I knew this would be a different experience than the rest. She took the time to actually listen and guide me in the right direction without making me feel pressured and that I needed to buy same day or I’d lose out. She encouraged me to follow my heart and take as much time as I needed to make the big decision. She was so kind and warm hearted to my family and friends. You can tell she was just an all around genuine person trying to make a moment very special for me. She actually made me want to be her friend outside of this experience. Not only did I find the dress of my dreams but the all around experience and vibe confirmed this is a business I want to support. I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone looking for an “unlike all the others experience”. With making such an important, nerve wracking purchase it was so humbling to have someone be so kind, calm and so inviting. Ask for Hannah! I promise she will make you feel so welcomed and important. First off, I wanted to thank you Courtney, for a fabulous experience each time I'm here! I had no idea what type of dress I was looking for the first time, and Courtney was so patient with me trying on different styles. I'm not typically one to make a decision easily, so several months later, I came back for a second round of trying on dresses--but this time had a pretty specific vision in mind. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out Courtney would be my stylist again! I appreciated her tips in choosing different details, colors, shapes, etc, for the vision I was going for. She went above and beyond to help me narrow down my choices and it felt she really cared in helping me towards the right direction. I've never felt pressured by Courtney to make a decision and felt truly comfortable at my appointments. Thank you, Courtney for your kindness and expertise!

Second, this store has an amazing selection of high quality dresses. They have a large variety of dresses, and a good amount to accommodate the expensive taste I have but without breaking the bank.
