Emerald City Smoothie — Restaurant in Washington

Worst customer service in a very long time. I brought my 8 year old son in cause he'd be asking all day for a smoothie. When we came in the two little kids working there were not the least bit interstellar in helping us. We waited for one of the two workers to help us since help us since we were the only two in the store. After five minutes of waiting around a young guy came in and the girl behind the counter asked this guy immediately what he would like. I was shocked, but then another person came in and then the young man behind the counter looked up and asked that new customer what he could make for him. Needless to say we left without buying anything. I suppose this is what happens when you hire twelve-year-old kids to run your business and don't teach them what the word customer service is. It's simple to say words like welcome in, what can I get started for you, or do you have any questions? I get my wife and I a smoothie from here often. Which we then share with our young daughter. I usually have her own kids cup, as she’s 1 and drinks literally a thimble full.

Forgot the kids cup today. Asked the ladies “can I have a small empty cup and lid?” Was told “no we can’t do that”

Said, “ok can I buy a small empty cup and lid?”

Was further told “no we can’t do that”

……..

After some back and forth, was told it’s new policy they can’t sell empty cups.

so I had to buy a whole other 7$ drink just so I could get a small cup to share with my small child… due to some sort of “internal policy”. That they can’t sell an empty cup.

I have been coming here for years and it’s slowly gone downhill year after year. Today was my last time. Customer service was bad (girls talking to each other not customers) I asked for no banana then watched her put it in, said i was going to pay cash, she put it as a card payment then walked away, so the card reader was beeping at me & she was gone so i just paid card (not a big deal) but then on top of it all my $8 16oz smoothie (which is insane to me how much cost has increased) taste like straight syrup!
